Coniston To Barrow Training Profile - Rosie
⌚🚶♀️Rosie Talbot (Deputy Lead Tutor at Beaumont College South Lakes) just completed 8 miles in training! 💪 Working in SEN education, she witnesses the impact of epilepsy every day. She is in training for the Coniston to Barrow walk to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and keep moving forward. Epilepsy doesn’t stop—and neither is she. 🟣
💷 £50 could help forward our world-leading research projects, leading to more accurate, personalised treatment.
💷£20 could help to ensure that someone who desperately needs to talk about their epilepsy can call our helpline.
💷£60 could prepare tissue samples for microscopic analysis, aimed at reducing Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP)
💷£75 could pay for lab equipment such as PCR tubes which are essential for DNA extraction and analysis from our donated blood samples. This DNA can be stored and analysed in multiple research studies.
💷 £100 could pay for advanced analysis of five people’s genomic data, helping us uncover genetic risk factors for different types of epilepsy to better tailor treatments with the aim of controlling seizures and transforming lives.
