This October, we spent time learning about Diwali, the beautiful festival of lights. With the help of some of our wonderful carers from Kerala, India, we created colourful rangoli designs using traditional coloured sand. ๐ŸŽจ

Rangoli are often made on the floor and surrounded by small oil lamps, or diyas, which brighten homes, shops and public spaces during Diwali. โœจ

It was a lovely way to explore another culture, enjoy some creativity, and celebrate the spirit of light and positivity. ๐Ÿ’›

We started by picking apples from our garden trees, then added a few donated extras before washing, chopping, grating, and pressing them to make our very own fresh apple juice. ๐Ÿงƒ

We were thrilled to welcome the lovely ladies from Owl Obsession UK , along with their beautiful owls, Woody and Ollie.

Woody is already a familiar (and very loved!) face here, but it was our first time meeting Ollie, a stunning, rare black barn owl!๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฆ‰

The owls brought so much joy, especially to those who donโ€™t always feel like joining in. Itโ€™s amazing how a pair of feathered friends can spark smiles and conversation.
