Since the pandemic, I noticed that more and more people have become interested in the topic of past life regression and exploring past lives.
However, I also had more cases of people experiencing a spontaneous past life regression, whether during visiting certain places or even when they saw someone for a Reiki or massage session. Understandably, they wanted to find out more.
Such experiences are not always welcome and can be pretty destabilising. And they need to be processed and integrated properly.
I speak from my own experience - years ago I experienced a spontaneous past life regression during a trauma training. Thankfully, the psychotherapist who was teaching the class handled it brilliantly.
Here's my latest blog on the topic.

Past life regression has gained more interest in the recent years. Spontaneous past life regression or past life related dreams are more common too.

I see more and more clients with trauma (and diagnosed PTSD and complex PTSD) than ever before. It's life altering and challenging.
We now live in the age of 'trauma epidemic' and not only since the pandemic started.
So I thought to share this. Here's a brilliant podcast by Dr.Huberman (who I tend to recommend to all my clients as he covers all sorts of interesting topics) with a trauma specialist Dr. Conti. They discuss what trauma is, its neurobiology, treatment and so on and how it impacts our lives .They also talk about therapies and tools that you can utilise as well.
It's free and very accessible.

My guest is Dr. Paul Conti, a psychiatrist expert in treating trauma, personality disorders and psychiatric illnesses and challenges of various kinds.

Trauma responses are so rife and we may often not even be aware when it's happening to us.
The world can feel overwhelming, with so much 'noise' that can be also very triggering for us.
Finding inner peace can feel like too much of a task.

My own mantra is 'one step at time. One breath at time'.

Increasing self-awareness of our own trauma responses = better self-regulation and building resilience. And consequently, more inner peace.

Here's what many people are aware of already - emotions are indeed contagious.
Just try to be around a really stressed person, or in a crowd, or be in a company where there's a lot of highly charged energy like arguing, or be around that one friend who just complains and moans and see how you feel (most people have at least one friend like that).
You know what I mean...
So it's good to be aware of one's own emotions and boundaries and practice discernment.
Here's a handy little technique that may be useful to practice so you don't soak up all that negative 'gunk' from others.

Overthinking.
This is so, so common.
But not the best way as a coping mechanism because our mind just goes in circles.
Here are some useful tips.
'Vooing' that is mentioned there is a particular sound that helps to soothe our nervous system.
I may make a little video how to do it.

Dear all

This is the time of the year when us therapists tend to get busier, and especially coming up to Xmas.
After a busy year, winter with its darkness invites us to go 'inside', reflect, rest and recharge. But it can also bring out stuff that we haven't dealt with and we may start to feel low, more anxious, depressed, lost.
Rest assured that I continue to work with my clients and support them on their healing journey. Whether they go through anxiety, trauma or PTSD (the most common issues I work with).
It's been a challenging year for everyone - us therapists had to make changes too and we had to adapt quickly to learn how we can provide our services online.
It has been a learning curve but most of us, of course with appropriate training, were able to rise to the challenge.
So please know, that I continue to work however for the time being I remain working solely online.
I offer a free, no string attached 20-30 minute long familiarisation Zoom call to any potential clients. There's no pressure to continue after that and it's ultimately up to the client to decide whether they'd like to start working with me or not.
But I feel by doing this, any potential clients can get 'a feeling' for the process. And you get to see my face as well! :-)
Plus another advantage is, you don't have to commune anywhere and you can stay at your own home and familiar space, where you feel safe (of course, I appreciate not everyone has that kind of domestic situation).

As the nights are getting longer, take this time as an opportunity for a little self-care and 'nourishing' yourself (not necessarily with food!), whatever that means for you. Now more than ever, even a small act of self-care and taking time out, can make all the difference. Because nobody can pour out of an empty cup.

Much love
Slavka

2020 has been many things, challenging to say the least.
So I'd like to wish to all my clients all the best for the new year ahead.
May you have the strength and resilience to withstand whatever comes your way.
