Do you live in the Larne area with an hour a week to spare and a listening ear?

We’re looking for volunteer befrienders ( age 18 +) to help reduce loneliness and bring connection, conversation, and companionship to others in our community.

We’re especially keen to hear from people who are:

• Kind, patient, and good listeners

• Reliable and happy to commit some time regularly

• Friendly, non-judgemental, and empathetic

• Comfortable chatting over a cup of tea

• Keen to make a real difference in someone’s life

No special qualifications needed as any training and ongoing support provided

– You just need a desire to connect with others.

Breast screening aims to find breast cancer at an early stage, often before there are any symptoms. Early detection may often mean simpler and more successful treatment.

A visit to a breast screening unit usually takes less than 30 minutes and the mammogram only takes a few minutes.
