RDLs look simple - they’re anything but.

In reality, it’s one of the most technically demanding patterns we coach.

And this is exactly why we don’t just let people get on with it.

It’s easy to create a perfect plan at the start of the year.

Training days mapped out, nutrition dialled in. That plan is useful, but real life doesn’t always follow it.

The map is easy, it’s the terrain that’s the challenge.

Late workdays, low energy, missed sessions, injuries - these aren’t failures, they’re part of the process.

Progress doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from adapting, making good decisions, and keeping moving forward.

Have a plan, but don’t cling to it so tightly that it stops you adjusting when life gets in the way.

Consistency will always beat perfection.

Most people don’t fail because they lack motivation.

More and more people are getting into health and fitness. They want to change and become healthier.

But they fail because they try and do it alone.

No plan.
No confidence.
No guidance.

Coaching removes the uncertainty.
Structure removes the confusion.
And support makes the consistency possible.

Don’t spend another year starting and stopping, or putting in hours of unproductive work in the gym.

Good quality coaching will be one of the best investments you ever make.

We’ve all seen our heard some sort of new year resolution statistics…

Usually along the lines of 80% of goals or resolutions have failed by mid February.

When it comes to fitness, people just simply set the bar too high…

They go from doing very little to all of a sudden committing to gym sessions, steps, cardio and calories…

The typical all or nothing approach - that never ever works.

When you’re writing down or thinking about how you’re going to improve your health and fitness in 2026, please think small.

You can layer things over time once you master the basics.

Most people would have more success with simply 2-3 gym sessions and a slight calorie deficit, as opposed to the usual long, unsustainable list.

Don’t let next year be another year of all or nothing.

Set yourself up for long term success.

Strength is the foundation of ageing well.
With the right program, three sessions a week can completely transform your health.

And when you train in a supportive community with coaches guiding you through the whole process, it becomes something you actually enjoy.

The key is finding the right place. We work with so many people who hate the gym or have had bad experiences in the gym for one reason or another.

Do your research. Look at reviews. Find somewhere who works with people just like you and consistently gets results.

Are we the right gym for bodybuilders? No.

For strongmen or strongwoman? Also no.

But for any men and woman aged 40+ looking to get stronger and fitter, regardless of ability or experience - absolutely.

Laura joined us around 2 years ago with some health concerns - high blood pressure, aches & pains and carrying some weight.

We get it.

Saying yes to everything.

You don’t need to live miserably or give up everything you enjoy.

But the people who achieve great things choose the hard stuff today.

And great doesn’t have to mean marathons or photoshoots.

It could be a beginner who kept showing up until the gym felt natural.

Or a 70 year old who built enough strength to balance with confidence.

Great is choosing what’s hard now, for something better later.
