Seasonal feel good for Summer Tips
Right now its the season of summer and this season is is all about heart connection and nourishment….
So what does that really mean and how can we really embrace that?
The Summer is a time of joy and light, connection and passion, passion for doing the things we love and spending time with those we love. When we don’t feel like that it maybe because we are out of balance, or that our energy is low making us feel tired, maybe we take on too much which is easy to do with all the summer energy and lighter longer days..
So here’s 10 tips on how we can balance and look after ourselves with the energy of the Summer
No 1 Connect + Laugh
Make time to connect with others, to laugh and have fun, to connect with nature and yourself, reach out + socialise with your friends and family, it's important that as well as making time to connect with others we make time to connect with ourselves.
No 2 Music + Play
Play with music you love + dance, shake out your sillies and explore your range of movement, dance out your fingers and toes, explore highs and low moves, get your blood and circulation flowing. put a swing in your step and a smile on your face.
No 4 Flower essences for energy
Dynamis is a great combination flower essences for helping and supporting our energy, giving us that extra boost with busy summer days especially when we might be looking after children. juggling work or caring for others packing and traveling for holidays or having lots of summer social events.
No 5 Routine + Rhythm
Having a routine thats for you, even its a simple 20 min daily movement or walk or a weekly class you attend, it all helps to bring some calm and a regular rhythm into your summer life.
No 6 Space to Breath
Make some space to breathe. How often do we rush around holding our breaths while we get through our day, taking some time to connect with our breath, breathing in through our nose for a slow count of 5 and out through our nose for a slow count of 5, doing this for 5 breaths or what feels good for you. when we breath properly we bring space and revitalising energy to our whole body.
No 7 Seasonal Eating + Local produce
Eating foods that are fresh and in-season helps us to live more in- tune and in balance, listening to our bodies and eating lighter and brighter foods in the summer not only sustains + supports us it sustains and supports the environment we live in.
No 8 Dance
Dance is one of the best things you can do for your body, it good for your mental health, emotional health, and your fitness levels, bringing more agility, strength, stamina + balance, it releases feel good hormones and can be a great energy dis-charge especially if we are feeling overwhelmed or un-inspired, dance is one of the no 1 fitness practices to ward or dementia and depression. It stimulates new neural pathways in the brain and brings a a sense of connection and playfulness to the body.
No 9 Stretch + Explore
Practice some form of stretching for your body and mind, Stretching out or bodies though a practice such as yoga is not only a practice for the body its for the mind and emotions too, learning something new stimulates our mind and becoming part of a community through a shared interest brings joy to our hearts.
No 10 Nurture and replenish.
We need to feed and fuel our bodies through the water we drink, the food we eat and the activity and who we interact with, making time to do things we love on a regular basis increases our energy, it fills our cup, so celebrate + connect to the summer energy of heat, joy, radiance, abundance, gratitude, ease, pleasure and love.
