Microsuction Ear Wax Removal Based at SW Podiatry and Health at Homeleigh Garden Centre, Launceston

Rachel qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2008, since then she has worked as a District Nurse, Emergency Department Nurse and more recently as an MIU Nurse Practitioner. She is very experienced with a numerous range of ear problems, from assessing and treating infections to syringing and removal of foreign bodies. Rachel has completed an accredited Aural Microsuction Training Course recommended by the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists and is fully insured.

💜✨ End of Year Reflections ✨💜

As 2025 comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. This year has been a big one for RTW, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this amazing community.

In 2025, we welcomed 361 new patients, continued caring for 441 regulars, and our patient list is now reaching nearly 2,000 people. Something I’m incredibly proud of.

We also introduced online booking, making it easier than ever to get booked in, and I finally took the plunge into social media properly (hello if you’re new here! 👋).

Every appointment, message, recommendation, and kind word means more than you know. Running a small business isn’t always easy, but it is always rewarding.

We’ll be back open on 7th January, refreshed and ready for another year of caring for your ears. 👂💜

Here’s to 2026, and thank you for being part of the RTW journey.

🎄💜 We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

Is anyone else now firmly in that in-between stage where you’re not quite sure what day it is, you’ve eaten your bodyweight in cheese and chocolate, and “relaxing” has become a full-time job? 🧀🍫😅

Before the Christmas break, I popped in to play Santa for the lovely team at SW Podiatry & Health Clinic Ltd because a little festive thank you always goes a long way. 💜

Here’s to slowing down, enjoying the leftovers, and easing into the New Year at our own pace.

Ear candling is unsafe and ineffective. If you need wax removed before the big day, microsuction is the safe option.
