PM12 has reached Warsaw! She will now be prepped ready to head into Ukraine to help evacuate injured civilians from the warzone.
Our hats are off to the team at Cornwall & Devon sending love to Ukraine. The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare for a trip like this is incredible, and we're glad we were able to support in some small way.
The go fund me is still open, and the team will no dount be making another trip soon enough so please keep donating if you can.

New to the Peninsula Medics Ltd Training and Development Unit!

"SALMs" equips the learner with the knowledge and skills to safely and confidently administer and monitor the effects of life saving medications over two days of face-to-face learning*

£230.00 +VAT

Learners must:
• Be at least 18 years old on the first day of the training and
• Be employed by a CQC registered organisation (or overseas equivalent) and
• Have successfully completed the Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or a
QA recognised equivalent.
There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a
minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

* Course requires 14 hours face-to face learning which is most commonly spread over two days. There is an expectation of an additional 16 hours prereading and coursework to complete for a total of 30 hours.

While achievement of this qualification confirms learners have met both the theoretical and practical requirements, this does not imply a ‘license to practice’ – the scope of practice will be determined by the organisation responsible for medication provision. This qualification does not allow a learner to obtain, store or medicate without clinical governance.

Leicester Tigers can confirm that Lauren Poole will today undergo surgery on an ankle injury sustained during yesterday’s PWR fixture against Exeter Chiefs.

Poole was injured during the closing stages of the fixture and was attended to by medical staff immediately, continuing past the full-time whistle.

The club would like to place on record our thanks for the exceptional care that Loz received at Sandy Park from medical staff and then the crew of the ambulance onsite.

Everyone at Tigers wishes her the best for her recovery ❤️
