While this time of year is often portrayed as joyful and full of celebration, for many people anxiety and depression can feel heightened during the festive season.

Financial pressures, strained family relationships, feelings of isolation, or simply the overwhelm of extra tasks and expectations can all take a real toll on our mental wellbeing. When routines change and demands increase, it’s completely natural for anxiety and low moods to surface or intensify.

✨ I’m Back! Returning From Maternity Leave ✨

Hello lovely people — I’m so happy to gently step back into work and reintroduce myself. 💛
I’m a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Play Therapist, specialising in:

After taking time out to welcome my little one, I’m now restarting my online private practice.

How do you prefer to have therapy?

Are you someone who enjoys being in the comfort of your own home or do you like to get out the house to allow for a new change in scenery?

Do you hate technology and managing IT or do you love working online and with technology?

Which ever option you take, the quality of therapy and the results you get will be the same. Its just down to personal choice to which would suit you better, neither are better ways to receive therapy than the other. Its just what works for you as an individual.

Today I've been teaching young adults at ATTFE college some therapeutic tools to help them manage their anxiety. The teenagers I support have learning difficulties such as ADHD, Autism & dyslexia and find life in college very stressful and challenging. They often feel over whelmed, become anxious and have panic attacks. They really enjoy taking part in group visualisations and have been learning how to use this tool in their everyday life.

Some of their happy places where the beach, the woods, their homes or just simply their bedrooms. Where ever it was, this tool certainly helped to destress, ground and re-centre their emotional states.

Common examples include arriving at your destination without memory of driving there, zoning out while reading the page of a book, becoming so engrossed in the television show you’re binging that you barely realize half a day has passed, or experiencing involuntary sleep hypnosis.
