This has been my first post in a long time. Apologies for the radio silence.
For those who don't know, due to my health history I was shielding during the first Covid-19 wave and as a consequence (and because my preference is in-person coaching), I was inadvertently driven to focus on solely building up my art commissions business from home instead.

Art has proven to work well for me both mentally and financially during this strange year, however, it has also been a lifelong (albeit sidelined) passion - it's not a new discovery.
I have subsequently come to realise by its very absence that coaching and always seeking to help other people drains my mental and energy resources more than it replenishes, whereas art increases them. Since the cancer diagnosis (and remission), I need to learn to listen to my body and mind more and practice being kind to myself as a priority. NLP training and the work I have done with my incredible tutor/mentor and friend Sarah Merron (whose information I will share in my next post), has been pivotal in helping me to see the wood for the trees.

As a result, this week I have taken the somewhat sad decision to close my Think Coach Business.
It's a bittersweet moment to write this because I have pursued coaching for over a decade and felt that it was my destiny. This has been a defining year for so many people though; one where the abilities to adapt, show resilience, creativity and determination have been needed in spades! Sympathy is not my goal here though - because my regeneration as an artist is hugely positive and I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have been able to make this switch and to absolutely adore what I do!

So thank you for joining me on this journey and to all those who have supported and championed my efforts and achievements. This change in direction feels completely right for me now and that's as a result of everything that has come before.
Onwards and upwards 😃
Stay safe 😷
Keep warm ☕
And be kind to yourself! 🥰

Our life stories get frozen in the once upon a time versions that we tell ourselves and these may well be idealised fairy or grim tales, depending on how we see ourselves as the main character. When we choose to defrost our writer's block and warm to the idea of editing how our stories play out, we empower ourselves to go with a new flow. Predictable ending? Let it go.

'Part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself' - Lori Gottlieb.

Stories help you make sense of your life -- but when these narratives are incomplete or misleading, they can keep you stuck instead of providing clarity. In an actionable talk, psychotherapist and advice columnist Lori Gottlieb shows how to break free from the stories you've been telling yourself by...
