‼️ Missed Appointments (DNAs) – Please Help Us Help You
We understand that our phone lines have been exceptionally busy over the last two weeks, and we sincerely apologise if you have been affected by this. We are working hard to improve access and manage the high level of demand, however this week we have seen a high number of missed appointments (Did Not Attends – DNAs) at the practice.
26 appointments in total! These are appointments where patients have booked to see a clinician but did not attend and did not let us know in advance. Every missed appointment is a lost opportunity for another patient who may be waiting to be seen. At a time when general practice is under significant pressure and demand for appointments is extremely high, DNAs have a real impact on the care we can provide.
To help us reduce wasted appointments, please:
•Let us know as early as possible if you no longer need your appointment or cannot attend.
•Use online services such as the NHS App; visit our website or phone to cancel.
•Consider whether you still need the appointment if your problem has resolved.
By cancelling in good time, you allow us to offer that slot to another patient.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us to make the best use of our appointments for all our patients.
