It felt really good to be back massaging on two little taster sessions today for Rhi’s lovely boys, whilst she’s home for Christmas 🥰🎄

It was so nice to see them both release amazingly and thoroughly enjoy their treatments 💪

As some of you may already know Tops Therapy is expecting a new miniature director at the end of October… 👀🍼

I apologise for the radio silence, I have been doing my very best to treat as many horses as possible before my maternity leave.

I am aiming to stop massaging by the 9th October, all being well 🤞 and will look to return mid December.

So if you are wanting your horses treated please message me as soon as possible to book them in before 9th October. As you can imagine, I have very few slots remaining now 🐴

Finally, a big thank you to all my clients who have been incredibly supportive during these super hot days and bearing with me to ensure I can work as safely and efficiently as possible, you’ve all been amazing 💕

I have been extremely quiet on here lately as I have to admit I have been putting this post off for a while as I took some time to work out what to say.

Many of you will know my best friend of 14 years as the founder of Tops’ Therapy. The one who stayed up with me through the bitter cold nights whilst I revised, with nothing more than a hot chocolate outside his stable in the winter months. The one who let me practice every new technique over and over on him, to make sure I was ready for my practical exam. The one who changed my dream of working in the Equine therapy world into a reality.

Sadly Topper crossed the rainbow bridge last month, leaving me to continue Tops’ Therapy in his legacy.

I want to thank all of my clients who have allowed me to continue my dream in the most difficult time of my life and for the kind words you have given me.

This is for you Tops, I promise to make you proud 💚

I just love this video of Phoenix on Sunday!

This just shows how beneficial myofascial release work really is. By repeating the myofascial release over Phoenix’s cervical vertebrae column, I am encouraging him to stretch himself.

This allows any tension in and around this area to release, whilst also encouraging blood and oxygen flow to the area.

You can even see his little hind leg lift at the end of the video to further the stretch 😍👏

Rose held a lot of tension in her lumbro-sacral region. This is how Rose responded when I applied ischemic pressure to this area.

The power of tape 💪🐴

Here is a lovely ex racer I treated yesterday, who naturally has a weak hind and struggles to develop muscle in this area, due to the intense exercise asked from him in his early years.

After following a careful rehabilitation programme his workload is now increasing. By applying the incredible over his lumbar region, I am happy that his weak areas will be supported, whilst more is being asked from him.

As you can see he was feeling the benefit of this immediately 😍👏
