Area Sales Manager – Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Co Durham, Teesside, North Yorks

Mark has been a key member of the Helping Hand team for over 7 years, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as Area Sales Manager. He works closely with Occupational Therapists and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored postural care solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives - whether in the community, care homes, acute settings or schools.

Mark thrives on the variety his role brings and is passionate about helping individuals live more comfortably and independently each day.

Outside of work, Mark is a proud supporter of Newcastle United. He enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, especially hiking in the hills, and values quality time with friends and family.

SymmetriSleep is used worldwide. In this post, we share a recent case study of Scott, a high-level Paralympian with Duchene's muscular dystrophy. Scott found poor posture was affecting his performance. Part of this was caused by not getting a good night's sleep and waking up feeling unrested and in pain.💙

At his initial assessment, it was discovered that his sleeping position was a big part of his issue. He was found to be suffering from significant cervical extension that was causing him pain in his neck, as well as rotation and flexion in his hips that led to further pain in his lower back and upper legs.

💡The goals:

To help Scott achieve a more restful night’s sleep and wake with greater energy, improve his posture to ease pain, reduce the need for carer support during the night, and enable him to train harder and longer to boost his performance.

💡Following use of the SymmetriSleep system:

Scott’s pelvic and hip alignment improved, with greater tolerance over time. His groin pain reduced, lumbar lordosis was preserved, and a more symmetrical sleeping position helped manage discomfort. His carers valued the simple, consistent setup and reported needing to assist him far less at night. As a result, Scott is now sleeping longer, waking without back or neck pain, and feeling less tired in training. His increased energy has directly boosted his training and overall performance.

We had a fantastic time at the Apprenticeship Awards Evening hosted by Herefordshire & Worcestershire Group Training HWGTA last night, celebrating the achievements of nearly 400 students who completed their level 2,3 and 4 Apprenticeship🎉

The dedication and success of all the award winners was truly inspiring and we’re especially proud of Holly Unwin, who not only earned Merit in her Level 2 Accountancy Apprenticeship but was also a finalist for the Commercial Level 2 Apprentice of the Year Award!🌟
