Have you ever really wanted to do something or go somewhere but the fear or worry and uncertainty have held you back?
In my 20's and 30's I used to do a lot of things on my own. Clubbing, holidays, living + working abroad, travel, silent retreats, trips to the cinema, restaurants, galleries, all mostly abroad.
This weekend I stepped out of my comfort zone to experience my first solo festival
I hadn't been to a festival or camping for ages and a lot of thoughts popped up; would I get too cold, would I feel overwhelmed by all the people, would I get lonely, where was all my camping equipment?!
I had no idea but with a bit of preparation (quite last minute I must add!) trusted that all would be well + I am buzzing with joy after an absolutely brilliant weekend in Pembrokeshire.
I met lovely people, from Sarah, Sally and Fi, my camping neighbours, to and who I sat next to in a sound bath.
I chatted with inspiring speakers ,
Went to a wonderful peaceful yin yoga with Sam at nourishyogapparel, a grounding breath work mediation with Deepika and a nourishing morning yoga with Rose Fisher .
I went to inspiring talks about , . Had a dance to and
Bumped into Wintia and Liz a beautiful stall full of her amazing jewellery creations (we enjoyed a lovely afternoon cacao and ecstatic dance led by @).
And what a gift to receive not just one but three beautiful sound offerings over the w/e. Yesterday afternoon with Stu Hampton and . In and out of a deep stillness to the sounds of Stu's voice singing with the Shruti and Luisa playing the crystal and Tibetan bowls.
The Bhakti yoga collective's kirtan session last night.
Today a beautiful sound journey with Barry Mason (maker of fab titanium gongs) and Lina using flumies on Gongs while exquisite playing of the cello.
Lots of delicious food + drink and more!
