The menopause is not optional, but treatment choices are.

Just a normal Tuesday at LIVVE 💜

in clinic, deep in consultations.
Sukhi running operations like the superwoman she is.
Melissa somewhere between clinical decisions, team chats and checking deliveries have landed on time.

But what people don’t always see is this 👇

It’s not just about writing a prescription.

It’s about the whole journey.

✨ The consultation
✨ The clinical thinking
✨ The blood results
✨ The medication ordering
✨ The stock checks
✨ The dispensing
✨ The double-checking
✨ The packaging
✨ The fulfilment
✨ The follow-up

All managed under one roof.

No outsourcing your prescription to somewhere you’ve never heard of.
No mystery warehouses.
No fragmented care.

Just a fully regulated, GPhC-registered pharmacy team managing your care end-to-end — properly, safely and holistically.

Because menopause care (and weight loss care) isn’t a one-click transaction.
It’s a process.
And we take that seriously.

I was asked this recently:

“Is the Mounjaro you prescribe compounded with other ingredients, or is it actual Mounjaro?”

And honestly…

I didn’t even realise this was a thing.

And it doesn’t just apply to Mounjaro.
The same question applies to HRT.

At LIVVE, we are a UK-registered GPhC pharmacy.

We only supply regulated, licensed, prescription-only medicines — dispensed from our own registered pharmacy.

If we prescribe Mounjaro, it is actual licensed Mounjaro.
In original manufacturer packaging.
Supplied through regulated UK wholesalers.

If we prescribe HRT, it is licensed UK HRT.
Not mixed.
Not altered.
Not compounded with extras.
Not sourced from overseas grey markets.

We do not create “custom blends.”
We do not add additional ingredients.
We do not import unregulated products.

It’s quite scary to think some people may be injecting or applying hormones without truly knowing what’s in them.

Your body deserves regulated medication.
Your hormones deserve proper clinical oversight.
Your safety comes first.

Please check who you’re buying from.
Make sure they are GPhC registered.
Make sure it’s a licensed UK medicine.

Stay safe.

😴Feeling more tired than usual lately?😭

This weather is just damn right awful — grey skies, no sunshine, everyone feeling a bit grumpy. And it might not just be life… or hormones.

In the UK, from October to March, we can’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight — even on bright days. When levels drop, you might notice:

• Low mood
• Fatigue or low energy
• Muscle aches or weakness
• Joint discomfort
• Increased susceptibility to infections
• Poorer bone health over time

And if you’re in perimenopause or menopause, that can amplify symptoms even further.

The NHS recommends everyone considers supplementing in autumn and winter. At LIVVE, we stock high-quality Vitamin D with K2 and include it in a number of our treatment plans where appropriate — because bone and immune health matter long term.

It’s not glamorous. But it’s foundational.

If you’re unsure what you need, get in touch — we’re here to help.

🛑5 signs your menopause symptoms are being dismissed🛑

1️⃣“Your blood tests are normal.”
Menopause is usually a clinical diagnosis, not a blood test diagnosis. Hormone levels fluctuate — symptoms matter.

2️⃣“You’re too young.”
Perimenopause can begin in your 40s — and sometimes earlier. Age alone doesn’t rule it out.

3️⃣“It’s just stress.”
Stress can worsen symptoms — but it doesn’t cause hormonal transition. Brain fog, sleep disruption and mood changes deserve proper assessment.

4️⃣“Come back in a few months.”
You shouldn’t have to wait while symptoms escalate. Early support prevents deterioration.

5️⃣“You don’t need treatment.”
Not everyone needs medication. But everyone deserves information, options and shared decision-making.

Menopause care should feel informed, structured and safe.
You deserve to be listened to.

If you’ve ever left an appointment thinking,
“I know something isn’t right…”

Trust that instinct.

Perimenopause and menopause are common — but they’re still frequently misunderstood. Symptoms fluctuate, overlap with other conditions, and don’t always appear on a blood test.

Structured, specialist-led assessment changes that experience.

At LIVVE, BMS specialist appointments start from £75, offering regulated, evidence-based menopause care with time to listen, assess properly and build a safe, personalised plan.

You don’t have to wait months.
You don’t have to feel dismissed.
And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth reviewing properly.

So many women are told what to take, but not always how to use it.

With transdermal oestrogen gel, application technique directly affects absorption, and poor absorption can mean fluctuating hormone levels and returning symptoms like hot flushes, anxiety, poor sleep or low mood.

Here’s what we teach in clinic:

✨ Apply to clean, dry, unbroken skin
✨ Best areas = outer arm/shoulder or outer thigh (follow your prescription)
✨ Spread gently – don’t massage in like a moisturiser
✨ Allow it to air dry before dressing
✨ Avoid showering/swimming for at least an hour afterwards
✨ Rotate sites to keep absorption consistent
✨ Wash hands after application

Why does this matter?
Because rubbing too hard, applying to wet skin, or covering it too quickly can all reduce how much hormone actually gets into your bloodstream.

And that can look like your HRT has “stopped working” when really, it’s an absorption issue ❤️

Before increasing doses, we always check technique first.

If you’re unsure whether you’re getting the full benefit from your treatment, this is exactly what consultations are for — individual advice, safe prescribing and ongoing review.

Valentine’s Day can feel complicated in midlife.

You might love your partner, your family, your life —
and still feel disconnected from yourself.

When sleep is broken, your mood is unpredictable, your body feels unfamiliar and intimacy feels like effort, hearts and flowers can miss the point.

Here’s what I wish more women were told sooner:

You are not dramatic.
You are not failing.
And you are not meant to just get on with it.

Menopause and perimenopause are medical stages of life, and support can make a profound difference.

Better sleep.
Clearer thinking.
More stable mood.
Confidence in your body again.

If showing yourself some care feels overdue, consider this your permission ❤️

We’re here whenever you’re ready.

Vaginal dryness is common in peri- and post-menopause… but living with it shouldn’t be 🤍

When oestrogen drops, the vaginal and bladder tissues can become thinner, drier and more sensitive.
That can mean pain with s*x, irritation, needing to wee more often or recurrent UTIs 🚽

Local oestrogen treatments like Vagifem work right where the problem is 🎯

Small treatment.
Huge quality-of-life upgrade ✨

You don’t have to put up with it 💜

✨ New in clinic: our supplement stand ✨

We’re getting lots of questions about Lion’s Mane, Ashwagandha and Magnesium Biglycinate — so we’ve created a dedicated space in clinic to talk through what might actually help you.

These supplements can support things like:
🧠 brain fog & focus
😌 stress, anxiety & overwhelm
😴 sleep & nervous system balance
💪 fatigue & muscle tension

But here’s the key bit 👇
Not everyone needs the same thing — and supplements work best when they’re tailored to you.

💬 We can discuss these in your menopause consultation
🛒 Or you can shop directly via our website

Evidence-led. Personalised. No guesswork.

✨ Thank you to everyone who came along to last night’s event ✨

It was such a fun, interactive evening and honestly, I learned loads myself. These are always my favourite conversations: open, honest, practical, and grounded in real experience.

Here’s a little peek from who shared her incredible journey as a hair stylist over the years, the impact hair loss can have, and the new in-salon treatments and approaches she’s now offering to genuinely support women experiencing thinning and hair changes. It was refreshing, reassuring and so helpful to hear what actually works in practice.

Sarah also touched on the early days of when I was setting up LIVVE, and how voices like Davina McCall and Meg Matthews were pivotal in opening up the conversation around menopause – particularly testosterone, and the very real benefits it can have for some women when used appropriately.

Testosterone can play an important role in:
• energy and motivation
• libido and s*xual wellbeing
• mood and confidence
• overall sense of vitality

But like all hormone treatment, it needs to be individualised, evidence-based and safely prescribed. As registered BMS specialists, this is exactly where we come in – supporting women with careful assessment, monitoring and ongoing review, so treatment is both effective and safe.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us, shared openly, asked brilliant questions and made the evening what it was. These conversations matter – and they’re only just getting started
