Power in Birth

Power in Birth Certified, accessible antenatal education and personalised doula support for a grounded, confident birth—and lifelong benefits for you and your baby.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Hi, I'm Magdalena, founder of Power in Birth®, and as your doula and birth educator I’ll help you navigate the maternity system on your terms, reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and prepare you for a genuinely self-empowered, physiological birth.

Imagine approaching your birth with a deep sense of calm, knowing every choice you make—guided by evidence, respect and your own intuition—honours both you and your baby.

From my antenatal preparation and doula support you’ll gain:

-Clarity & Confidence: Understand birth physiology, your rights, and decision-making tools so you can trust yourself in every scenario.

-Practical Skills (for you and your birth partner): Hypnobirthing techniques, mindfulness, and comfort measures tailored to you, ensuring you feel physically and emotionally in control of your choices and birth

-Unwavering Support: One-to-one doula care through pregnancy, birth and beyond—providing advocacy, continuity and compassionate postnatal care.

-Healing & Resilience: Gentle birth-trauma release and nervous-system support if you’ve had a difficult experience previously, so you move forward feeling safe, strong and ready.

Whether you choose a hospital, birth centre or home setting, my online and in-person antenatal courses, individual consultations and doula packages equip you with the mindset, skills and personalised support to birth with dignity, autonomy and lifelong benefits for you and your baby.

Reach out for a free chat—no pressure, just honest guidance—and let’s claim your power in birth together.

A deep feeling of safety is essential in pregnancy and especially in active labour.
Your body knows that it is not wise to bring to the world your biggest treasure, your baby, in an environment that is not safe.
And what does safety mean in the context of birth?

It means your nervous system regulates well and does not perceive threats in the space- like strangers ( a doctor or midwife you've never met for example), unfamiliar smells. Or sounds. Bright lights. Lack of privacy (a stranger putting their fingers in your va**na to "check progress"). Oh the obsession with " progressing" even though everyone is different, everybody is an individual....

Ask yourself: how do I really *feel* ( not think but feel) about the hospital/ birth centre etc space. Is it a cosy space that is conducive for relaxing?

And if you need to choose this space what can you do to make it more suitable for birth?

If you would like to know more and prepare thoroughly for birth on your own terms *with clarity* about various birth scenarios ( yes, also in a hospital environment - if *you* need it), simply DM me.
I don't do marketing tactics, simply a conversation.

Love,
Magdalena

Dear Mothers to be and parents, this is a tough subject....

Yes, I am aware there will be a (very) small amount of births that were positive with the experience of forceps. BUT none of the women and parents I heard from had the experience of forceps and felt supported to birth how they wanted in the first place. None were told about the risk of forceps. None were truly listened to and respected in birth. Can forceps be useful in very rare circumstances? Yes, however the vast majority come physically and emotionally scarred from the experience.

It does not have to be that way. Prioritising physiology first in birth gives you the best chance of birth that is more comfortable, respectful and on your own terms.

Knowing how to support physiology first takes learning birth skills needed for the current culture we live in.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
I do not advise medically.
I do, however, teach holistically and wholeheartedly.

Part II of my birth story and immediate postnatal period for our family.
Spoiler alert: I managed to give birth physiologically, how I wanted. Just.
I managed to honour my baby in the process...

But but but....what would I do differently today?

There are some things....

Have a read, let me know what you think.

Do reach out if this resonates with you and you would like to be truly supported in your pregnancy and birth. I'm a human and don't do marketing tactics or bot chats 💚
