White Rose:
Saturday: 10:00am – 16:30pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 16:30pm
Monday: 10:00am – 16:30pm

Please note: The shopping centre is open until 6pm and you can drop our wheelchairs/scooters back with customer services after 4.30pm.

Merrion Centre:
Normal service:
Closed Saturdays and Sundays

Unfortunately, it has been reported that the Shopmobility service (hire of mobility scooters/wheelchairs) at the Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield has been discontinued due to obtaining insurance. The closure of Shopmobility units seems a common situation over recent years. The William Merritt Centre is fortunate to work with Leeds City Council to offer the Shopmobility service at the Merrion Centre, Leeds and with Landsec to provide the Shopmobility service at the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.

We understand this service is a huge loss to Wakefield, but wanted to make Wakefield users aware of our Shopmobility service at both The Merrion Centre and The White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds where they would receive a warm welcome.
