We are looking to employ a Funeral Director to join our family run business in our Hunslet office co-ordinating with our teams in Bramley and Chapel Allerton. Previous experience an advantage but not essential, as full training can be a given to suitable applicant. The role requires compassion, professionalism, and the ability to work autonomously, including being on-call out of hours to support bereaved families and coordinate funeral services from first call through to final arrangements. The job will include client care and Funeral Arrangement, on call and out of hours duties, administration and office management, so strong administrative and IT skills are needed.

JAMES CAINES On 29th January 2026, passed away peacefully aged 101 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Margaret, a loving dad, grandad, great grandad, uncle and friend to many. James will be very sadly missed. Funeral mass will be held in the Holy Rosary RC Church, Chapeltown Road, on Friday 27th February at 12:30 pm, followed by interment in Killingbeck Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donation, if desired, may be given for LBEA, The Feel Good Factor and Church Funds. A plate for which will be available at the service. On 19th November passed away peacefully in hospital aged 69 years. A much loved dad of Jermaine and an adored grandad of Amelia, Olivia and Elijah. A much loved son of Vincent and the late Helen, a loving brother of Pat, Lincoln, Cliff, Errol, Kari, Devante and the late Nutilia (June) and best friend of Leroy (Clarky) of 50 + years. Also a loved uncle, nephew and cousin. Carl will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends. Paul Leon Russell Smith 1948 - 2025 'A Much Loved Man'
It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the death of Paul Leon Russell Smith at the age of 77. He was gathered on Friday, 19 December at St James Hospital, Leeds enveloped in the love of his wife Nima and close friends Nilesh, Rashpal, Chris and Viv and Umi. Paul studied Sociology of Knowledge at University and had a lifelong interest in the Theosophical Society. He was gentle, lovable, witty, incisive and scholarly. Paul was a delightful and loving husband, charming host, loyal friend and an affectionate uncle, brother-in-law, brother and uncle.
Details of the Final Farewell - Tuesday 13 January, 12.30 p.m. St Chads Church, Otley Road, Far Headingley, Leeds, LS16 5JT Followed by light refreshments in St Chads Parish Centre.

On 9th December passed away peacefully in hospital aged 77 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late Keith, a much loved mum of Angela, Alison and Andrew, a dear mother in law of Simon, Andrew and Sarah, a loving grandma of Hannah, Bob, Jess, Joe and Jacob, a cherished sister of Shirley and the late Frank and a much loved daughter of the late Olga and George. Maureen will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral Service in Garforth Methodist Church on Monday 22nd December at 11am, the cortege will leave Maureen's residence at 10:45 am.
