Join Sunday 22nd March 10am-1pm for a workshop exploring yoga practice through the different phases of a woman’s cycle.
Did you know that this pose is one that is not advised during your period?
Why do we avoid certain poses at this time?
We want our yoga practice to support us. When practised in the right way, yoga can help support health, our vitality, our fertility and prepare the body for perimenopause and menopause.
For the body to remain healthy it needs to retain a certain softness. Sometimes the hardness that exercise and muscle-building can create may lead to imbalance. A thoughtful yoga practice teaches us how to bring balance..
When you have your period the easiest option may be curling up on the sofa with a hot water bottle. But it can be more helpful to still extend, lengthen and move — in a way that brings softness, support, and relief to the body.
Come and experience poses that are supportive during this time, and learn which ones may create imbalance and why.

Thursdays 7.30–8.30pm starting this Thursday 5th March

A focused exploration of the breath within the poses — something we don’t always get time to look at in general classes.

You’ll learn how the breath can support and soften your asanas, and come away with tools for home practice and weekly classes.

This course is for all levels (3 months previous attendance of an iyengar yoga class required)
