There has been some publicity recently about the real cost of employing people in the current economic climate.

I wanted to add some context from our experiences.

Comparing December 2020 to December 2025 we have seen a 25% drop in staff numbers, a 7% drop in productivity, but a 26% increase in staff costs.

Once I adjust the figures to give a like for like comparison, then we are looking at a staff cost rise of over 60%.

Our government is in cloud cuckoo land if it thinks we can simply increase profit to cover the additional staffing costs.
Our productivity has gone down not up. All our other operating costs have gone up too. Gas, electric, insurance, paper, PPE etc. Our rent went up 19% in 2025!!

This is the hardest we have seen things since starting the business in 2011.

Many many businesses will close at the hands of our government if they do not sort this self inflicted mess out soon.

Support your local businesses as much as you can afford to before they are gone forever.

Another family member has kindly taken their time to email and thank us. It really does make it all worth it.

Unlike several care providers out there, we don't publicise or glamorise the efforts we go through to ensure we get to our clients in the extremes of weather. Our amazing team just cracks on and does it.

Emails like this serve to remind us that we do makes a difference, no matter what. Well done team and well done Lisa.

We would like to thank you and your team for the care you are providing for our parents, M and G.

Mum’s medication has settled and the pressure between us to ensure it has been taken has gone.

We’d especially like to thank Lisa who has wonderfully got the measure of Mum and Dad, she makes Mum smile and just gets on with various bits of cleaning. (Despite their protestations that all is done!) It feels like they have a motivation to get up in the mornings (even if only to avoid being caught in bed !) and the house is fresher.

The continuity of visits throughout Christmas and the recent snowy/icy weather have been a great relief.

Emergency Christmas Eve mercy mission.
Our wonderful 100 yr old Robert who lives alone had his TV go pop. Step up Debbie and Judith. Hot footed to Argos, returned and even installed it. All before noon!!!.
They even managed to get him a tree as he didn't have one.
Amazing work ladies.
Have a fantastic Christmas one and all.

"Grayson Home Care provided Daily Carers to attend to my Mother's Personal needs as she was losing her mobility and needed some extra help and care on a daily basis. They have been absolutely brilliant with her. The carers attending are genuinely interested in the welfare of my mum and have built a lovely friendship with her. She now looks forward to them arriving each day, which is essential as there is no stress involved with her extra care. Anything I have requested has been provided with precision and care. You all need to be very proud because this is why we do this. Enabling people to stay in their homes is one of the best thanks we can give somebody for their often long and varied lives, and everything they have contributed to society before us.

Dear Sue and Mark

I would just like to write and say thank you for the wonderful care and friendship that has been extended to D**** for the many years Grayson's have cared for her. This has been instrumental in her being able to stay in her own home almost to the end, which was her dearest wish.

D**** adored all her carers and Emma, in particular, has been the best carer and friend D**** could have ever wished for. It was lovely that she could spend some time with D**** yesterday afternoon at the Manor. Visits from familiar faces has already helped D**** settle in really well there.

Thank you again for all your support and advice in often very difficult and challenging circumstances.
