Here's something to ponder ... let's talk about Quantum Physics.

Everything is energy. Even us!

We are vibrating beings on certain frequencies.

Every vibration corresponds to a feeling and in the "vibrational" world there are only two types of vibration: positive and negative.

Every feeling emits a vibration that can be positive or negative.

So with that in mind, be aware of the following things that can affect yoir vibration / energy.

1. Thoughts:

Every thought emits a frequency. And you become attuned to your most frequent frequency.

So if you predominantly have negative thoughts such as discouragement, sadness, anger, fear, you will cultivate more of those thoughts.

This is why it’s so important to maintain the quality of your thoughts and learn to cultivate more positive thoughts.

2. The company you keep:

The people around you have a direct impact on your vibrational frequency.

If you surround yourself with happy, supportive, positive and determined people, you too will attune to this vibrstional frequency.

But if you surround yourself with complaining, pessimistic people, be careful! Your vibrational energy will drop to their level.

3. The music:

Music is very powerful. If you only listen to music that talks about death, betrayal, sadness, abandonment, it will interfere with your vibration.

4. The things you look at:

When you watch tv or viceos that deal with misfortune, death, betrayal and bad news your brain accepts them as reality and creates a chemistry that affects your vibrational frequency.

Look at things that are good for you and help you vibrate at a higher frequency.

5. The atmosphere:

Whether at home or at work, if you spend a lot of time in a disorganised and dirty environment, it will also affect your vibrational frequency.

Organise and keep your environment clean. This helps stop your thoughts being cluttered. Cherish what you already have!

6. The words:

If you talk bad about things and people, you affect your vibrational frequency.

To maintain your frequency high, it’s essential to eliminate the habit of complaining and badmouthing others.

Avoid drama and victimisation. Take responsibility for the choices you make in your life!

7. Gratitude:

Gratitude positively affects your vibrational frequency.

This is such an easy habit to incorporate into your life.

Start by giving thanks for everything, for the good things and those you consider bad, give thanks for all the experiences you have lived. Gratitude opens the door for positive things to happen in your life.

Did you know that before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day to honour Feminine Energy?

It was considered a day to celebrate the Divine Feminine, honour the goddess that lives within and respect the powerful cycles of creation, death and rebirth.

It is also a very powerful day to manifest, honour creativity and celebrate beauty, wisdom and nourishment of the soul.

Friday has long been associated with Venus. She’s a divine archetype for all things feminine, sensual and creative. The name Friday comes from Old English and literally means “day of F***g”. F***g is the Norse goddess of love, fertility and motherhood. She is often seen as the same being as Freya, goddess of beauty, fertility, s*x, and war

Then there is 13, a divinely feminine number, because it is the number of moon cycles each year and our cycles as women flow with those 13 moon cycles. The moon itself represents feminine energy and is connected to and can have a pull on the emotions and sensitivities of humanity.

As with many sacred feminine ceremonies, rituals, and cycles, when society switched from matriarchal to patriarchal these sacred things were no longer honoured or respected. Even the divine cycle of women was made “impure and unclean” and something they were forced to hide.

Here is a lovely Friday the 13th evening ritual you can create…

1: Set the mood by finding a quiet, cosy place. Your bedroom would be ideal.

2: Brew yourself a cup of tea and use your favourite teacup.

3: Light candles.

4: Apply essential oils to your wrists and neck or burn incense.

5: Write out positive "I AM" affirmations such as “I am love” “I am magic” “I am abundance” “I am… resourceful, beautiful, caring, valuable, loving.” Let them flow through you!

6. Grab a pad of sticky notes and add the affirmations to your bathroom mirror. Surround yourself with these words.

7. Go sit down, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Identify any self-limiting or negative thoughts (I wasn’t good enough for the promotion or if I was thinner I’d be happier) and bid them farewell.

8: The next step is practicing self-love and self-care. Do your nightly skincare routine. Slow down and really appreciate how good it feels.

9: Repeat those affirmations on your mirror as you do this. smiling at your reflection. Let the words flow into, over, and through you.

10: Now, grab your favourite oil or lotion and give your whole body some extra love.

12: When it's time for bed crawl under the covers, pull out your journal and add in any additional thoughts or affirmations that came to mind during your meditation moments. And then visualise what you want your life to be like and really feel the feelings as though you had that now. Decide on one action you will take towards the next day towards making that happen.

13: Snuggle in and sleep well tonight!

Hypnotherapy / hypnosis - it can sound a bit scary, right?

I get it. I felt the same when I first had hypnotherapy.

There are just so many myths around it and everyone associates it with the stage hypnosis stuff. But hypnotherapy really isn't like that.

Despite being a hypnotherapist, if I told you that I don't hypnotise anyone, you'd raise an eyebrow. But it's true!!

That's because ALL hypnosis is self hypnosis!

All that hypnosis is, is a deeply relaxed state, that everyone drops in and out of at various parts of the day.

That time just before you nod off to sleep, when you're drowsy - that's a hypnotic state.

When you first wake up in the morning and you're just coming round - that's a hypnotic state.

Have you ever driven anywhere and not remembered the journey or how you got to your destination? That's because you'd dropped into a hypnotic state.

So as a hypnotherapist I simply help you relax into that lovely, relaxed hypnotic state and when you are in that nice relaxed way, I can just talk to you and you just listen. And that's the therapy part of hypnotherapy.

Whilst you are in that relaxed state, I can make suggestions in a gentle way (often using metaphors) that let your subconscious mind know that it's safe to let go of the trauma / whatever it is you're wanting to change and move on to be happier.

With me, you NEVER re-live your stuff. I never take you back through it. I just simply make those suggestions that help your subconscious mind learn new ways of thinking.

It sounds very simple and in many ways it is simple. The skill with hypnotherapy is the language patterns used. But it's very very effective.

It's not mind control and it's not brain washing or any of that stuff. It's simply creating new neural pathways that allow you to think and behave differently, to make the changes that you want.

You remain in control at all times and you're always aware of what is happening around you.

Do you believe in the Law of Attraction and manifesting?

It doesn't really matter if you don't believe in it. It's always at work whether you believe in it or not.

It's not some woo woo new age hippy dippy sh-t. It is real.

Although you will read a lot of stuff with people over complicating things and selling their courses.

But let me simplify it. In it's simplest terms it just means that you attract what you expect. Not what you want, what you expect.

Everything is energy and has it's own vibration. Everything! Even that chair you are sat on. Even that clear air around you isn't nothingness - there are WiFi signals, mobile phone signals, ions and all manner of other stuff you can't see. All with it's own vibration. Albert Einstein said that, and he was a lot cleverer than I am.

If you think of this vibrational energy as being like a radio channel. You dial into the radio frequency of the channel you want to listen to. Simple.

And so it is in life, you tune into the vibrational frequency you want to live at.

And to break that down in simple terms again: if you're always moaning and focussing on the negative then that's what you will dial into and attract. If you make an effort to FEEL gratitude and notice the positive, that's what you will attract.

The important word with gratitude is FEEL. You need to feel gratitude. Not just write meaningless words in a notebook with no feeling. And feeling gratitude is also really good for your health and wellbeing. Lots of research on this, for those who are sceptical.

Of course, bad things happen in life and nobody is suggesting you are pollyanna-perfectly-positive all the time. Absolutely not. But some people make moaning and complaining into an art form. Change your mindset and change your life.

Here's an example:

"Oh I've had a terrible week"

Have you? Really? The whole week was absolutely terrible? Every single second of every single minute was terrible, was it? Or could it be that something happened that wasn't great but there were other moments that were happy and good.

Obviously I'm talking about everday life here and not tragedies of life such as bereavement or other life changing events.

Here's a simple but incredibly effective challenge for you to do: for 24 hours do not moan or complain, even in your own head to yourself. Especially in your own head to yourself.

Start to notice your own internal chatter.

It's also important to allow yourself to feel the other emotions of being human, whatever they are. Don't shut them out. In everyday life, it's ok to have a pity party, just don't unpack and live there.

Mindset matters. It's the way you dial into the "radio station" of your life.

And then you can really start to manifest the life you want (and expect).

That doesn't mean that all the bad things that might happen are your own fault. But it does mean that we can attract the negative stuff. Absolutely we can. Which is a great thing to know because it also means we can attract the positive stuff.

Life happens. We don't control so much of it and I'd never suggest that anyone is responsible for their bad stuff. It's not about blame. It's about knowing that there are many things we can influence.

And today I feel really grateful for my morning off work and for this amazing little dog who is just so full of love and the lovely people in my life ❤️

Loving the sunshine and the birdsong. My cuppa tea and my book. Feeling amazed that so many of us got to see the Aurora Borialis last night. And this sunshine is just so perfect 🥰

Sticks and stones may break my bones ... but words will never hurt me.

So goes the old fashioned rhyme us 70's and 80's kids were taught to recite to namecallers.

But here's the truth .... words shape us. They hurt us. They build us. They nurture us. They break us. They programme us.

We carry the words of others, within our subconscious, and they shape the way we feel about ourselves.

Words are very powerful. Be careful with yours.

And as much as words can do harm, they can also do good.

Maya Angelou famously said that we might not remember what someone said but we remember how they made us feel. So true! We might not remember the words, but we remember the feeling.

Communication and language ... so powerful ... yet we use it so carelessly. Those "throwaway comments" .... they can stay with someone so long after you threw them away.

In my work as a hypnotherapist, I am undoing the effect of words. Mere words, we think ... but those words can make people feel like sh-t... can affect their life for a long time.

Comments from teachers saying things like "you'll never amount to anything".

Comments from parents saying things like "it's all your fault".

Comments from partners telling you to "shut up", making you feel like you are not worth listening to.

Etc, etc.

Be careful with your words ❤️ They can do harm.
