Our beloved Eve, managed to cut herself badly on an object in the river Friday week. It was an arterial bleed. After being rushed to the Vets the wound was bound. Three days later the dressing was removed and the paw was found to be badly infected. She has spent the last week in Wetherby Pet hospital with vets fighting to save her paw. This has been very shocking for us all, we are hoping that the limb can be saved and she will be back in reception soon welcoming all the patients.

Walking the Dog Is Not Enough!

Walking the dog is a great start — fresh air, a bit of movement, and some much-needed companionship. But let’s be honest… our bodies deserve more than a stroll around the block.

As we age, staying active isn’t just nice — it’s essential. Regular exercise keeps your heart strong, your joints flexible, your mind sharp, and your spirits high.

The good news? You don’t need a gym membership or fancy equipment.
Here are a few simple ideas to boost your activity level:

Try light strength training with cans or water bottles

Stretch each morning to stay limber

Join a walking group or dance class

Explore yoga or tai chi for balance and calm

Even gardening or dancing in the kitchen counts!

It’s never too late to start moving more — and your body will thank you. Let’s aim for 30 minutes a day, in whatever way brings you joy.

Let’s not settle for “just walking the dog.”
Let’s thrive, not just survive.

We help with all kinds of limb pain, poor gait, pins and needles, sciatica etc.

Not all things will get better over time or walk themselves out.

Our new staff member is definitely the most popular, she has been on holiday over Easter, where she celebrated her first birthday (possibly, as a rescue it's a bit of a guess so it could be weeks or months out). Here she is before trying Paddle Boarding. The paddling she got, just the board bit was not so popular. She liked the hat so much she tried to eat it about a minute after she got it. She is back being a good girl in her crate today waiting for patients to tickle her tummy.

Wow, what a start, our New Acupuncturist Kirsty Arthur has kicked-off with a new support group for couples going through the struggle to conceive. I've been there myself and know how hard it can be. We did seek the support of an acupuncturist and I'd recommend anyone to come and speak to Kirsty and others sharing the journey,

Ease TMJ & Jaw Pain with Osteopathy – A Natural Solution

Do you suffer from jaw pain, clicking, or tension headaches? You may be experiencing Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction, a condition that affects the muscles and joints in your jaw, often leading to discomfort, difficulty chewing, and even neck pain.

At Be Well Clinic, our Osteopaths take a gentle, hands-on approach to help restore balance and relieve tension in your jaw, neck, and surrounding muscles. Through targeted manual therapy, we work to:

✅ Improve jaw mobility
✅ Reduce pain and inflammation
✅ Relieve tension in surrounding muscles
✅ Address posture imbalances that contribute to TMJ issues

Many clients notice relief after just a few sessions, feeling less tension, fewer headaches, and better overall function. If jaw pain is interfering with your daily life, osteopathy could be the solution you’ve been looking for.
