Dear patient,

On 16th March 2026, we will be increasing our appointment prices. We have maintained the same price point for all our appointments since 2024, however the cost of equipment, materials, rates, light and heating have all increased, which we have absorbed as a business until this price review.

The updated price list is displayed within the reception area and can also be found on our social media and website pages.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.

5 reasons why we need strong adductors 3️⃣/5️⃣

✅Better athletic performance

In sports, adductors are important for power and control during acceleration, changing direction, kicking, skating and tackling. Improved strength supports better force transfer and efficiency, helping athletes perform with more control and less fatigue.

5 reasons why we need strong adductors 2️⃣/5️⃣

✅Injury prevention

Weak and often tight adductors (or adductors that are too tight and too strong relative to other muscles) increase the risk of groin strains, hip pain, pelvic issues and lower-limb injuries. They also commonly contribute to compensatory patterns that can affect the lower back, knees and even the feet. If your knees come in when walking and running, it may be that your adductors are too tight and not strong enough, but also likely that your abductors may not be strong enough.

5 reasons why we need strong adductors 1️⃣/5️⃣

Adductors are a difficult one – it is important to have them strong enough but often we see issues with groin and pelvic pain when the adductors are too tight or too strong. Balance is key. The adductor group is hard to stretch out too and often respond better to massage than just stretching. It is important to note that your abductors on the outside of the hip should be stronger than your adductors for the correct muscle balance.

✅Hip and Pelvic Stability

The adductors play a key stabilising role across the hip and pelvis. Strong adductors help control movement during walking, running, changing direction and single-leg tasks, reducing unnecessary strain on surrounding joints and tissues. This is great for leg stability, in combination with the other muscles around the hips and pelvis.

5 priorities for 2026 to support health and well-being 5️⃣/5️⃣

✅Use reliable sources of information

There is a lot of contradicting information out there regarding fitness, strength, nutrition, mental health and anything else health related. Whilst some of these can be informative, it’s hard to work out which ones are reliable! If you have any questions relating to your health or fitness, ensure to ask for an expert opinion.

5 priorities for 2026 to support health and well-being 4️⃣/5️⃣

✅Advocate for yourself

If you’re having any health issues or something doesn’t feel right, make sure to speak to a professional as soon as possible.
Getting assessed early, regardless of the issue, is important to have the best outcome and quickest possible recovery time.
Do your best to advocate for yourself during healthcare appointments or have someone with you to help if you don’t feel able to. It’s helpful to know what the right questions are to ask so, if you’re not sure, ask for advice prior to your appointment.
Trust that you know your body better than anyone else and push for answers or further referrals if you don’t feel the problem has been fully dealt with.

5 priorities for 2026 to support health and well-being3️⃣/5️⃣

✅Get the simple things right

Whether you have specific fitness or competitive goals, or you view exercise as something to maintain your health, prioritise getting the simple things right, such as basic strength exercises, balance and functional movements. You can ask your physio to tailor exercises to your specific goals, schedule and available equipment. They can also make sure you have correct technique, which will help to build strength and avoid injury.

5 priorities for 2026 to support health and wellbeing2️⃣/5️⃣

✅Balance
Try to find balance in life, whatever that means for you. Whilst it is impossible to do everything well at once, try to find strategies that you can return to if you’re particularly struggling. Balance is different for each person so find a routine that is as sustainable as possible, it is better to underdo it than overdo it. Lastly, adding pressure to have the perfect balance will just add to stress, so don’t worry if it’s not going as well as you’d like!
