meditation is rooted in ancient traditions where simplicity, stillness, and presence are at the heart of the practice 🌿

It’s not about clearing your mind completely…
but about observing your thoughts, slowing your breath, and creating space within.

Monks use meditation to cultivate calm, clarity, and inner balance — something we can all bring into our modern, busy lives.

Even a few quiet minutes can help reset your nervous system and bring a sense of peace to your day ✨

Take a moment… just breathe 🤍

I’ve been busy gifting kefir grains… and now I’ve been gifted a SCOBY 🫙😂

It’s a slightly questionable-looking blob that makes kombucha—but I’m strangely excited about it

As a colonic hydrotherapist, anything gut-related is right up my street 🌿

And the best part? It grows… so I’ll probably be passing this one on too soon 😄

Ever wondered what’s really happening inside your gut? 👀

Your colon plays a vital role in removing waste, absorbing water, and keeping everything moving as it should… but when it’s not functioning well, your whole body can feel it.

Understanding your gut is the first step to better health 🌿

Soul consciousness meditation @ Bradford Inner Space x😌

Today I stepped out of my comfort zone and into stillness 🧘‍♀️✨

I spent the day learning how to meditate at a beautiful local centre, and honestly… I didn’t realise how much I needed it.

Slowing down. Breathing. Letting go.
Not trying to fix everything—just being present.

As a nurse and someone who’s always caring for others, it reminded me how important it is to pause and care for myself too 🤍

I’m definitely a beginner, but this feels like the start of something really special.

If you’ve been thinking about trying meditation… take this as your sign 💫

Slow mornings > rushed mornings 🌿

There was a time I woke up already in a rush…
straight into stress, caffeine, and running on empty.

Now I choose something different.

A slower start.
A few quiet moments.
Time to breathe, ground myself, and actually check in with how I feel.

It doesn’t have to be perfect…
just intentional.

Because how you start your morning
shapes your whole day ✨

If coffee leaves you feeling wired, anxious or uncomfortable in your gut… you’re not alone.

For some of us — especially when we’re already dealing with stress, hormones or menopause — coffee can be a bit too much for the nervous system.

That’s where cacao comes in 🌿

Cacao is rich in magnesium and natural compounds that can support mood, calm the body, and give a more gentle, sustained energy — without the jitters or crash.

It’s also much kinder on the gut.

I’m not saying give up coffee completely…
just try swapping one cup and notice how your body responds.

Because often, it’s the small changes that make the biggest difference ✨

Meal prep to support your gut 🌿

This is a simple way I support my microbiome through the week:

✔ Overnight oats (fibre + gut-friendly bacteria)
✔ Prawns with mixed salad (protein + variety of plants)
✔ Bean chilli with jacket potato (fibre + diversity for gut bacteria)

Your gut thrives on variety, fibre, and consistency — not perfection.

By prepping ahead, you’re more likely to nourish your body with the foods that actually support digestion, energy, and overall wellbeing.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Simple tip:
Aim for a variety of plant foods across your week — your gut bacteria love diversity 🌿

Feed your gut 🌿

Your microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria that rely on what you eat every day.

Simple foods like fruit provide fibre and natural nutrients that help support beneficial gut bacteria and digestion.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Small daily choices can make a big difference to your gut, your energy and your overall wellbeing.

Simple tip:
Add one extra plant-based food into your day and build from there.

Your gut will thank you 🌿

Morning Affirmation 🌿

How you start your morning can shape your entire day.

Taking a moment to slow down, breathe and set an intention helps calm the nervous system and supports the gut–brain connection.

When the body feels safe and regulated, digestion improves, hormones balance and overall wellbeing is supported.

Simple tip:
Before you reach for your phone, pause… take a slow breath, place your hand on your stomach and repeat your affirmation.

Small moments like this create powerful long-term change 🌿

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Mel Schilling 💔

As a colonic hydrotherapist, this loss feels especially close to home. Mel bravely shared her journey with bowel cancer, helping to shine a light on something so many people still feel uncomfortable talking about.

Your gut health matters more than you think.

So often, symptoms are dismissed, delayed, or brushed aside — but early awareness and action can truly save lives.

Please don’t ignore changes in your body. Know the signs. Seek support. Prioritise your health.

Today is a reminder for all of us 🤍

Rest in peace, Mel 🕊️

Homemade Kefir 🌿

One of the simplest ways to support your gut health naturally.

Kefir is rich in beneficial bacteria that help support the microbiome, improve digestion and strengthen the gut–brain connection.

Including fermented foods like kefir can help restore balance in the gut, support immunity and promote overall wellbeing.

Small daily habits like this can make a big difference over time.
