Did you know there’s really no such thing as a ‘normal’ foot?

‘Normal’ can mean different things in different contexts: it can be average, typical, or healthy, but when it comes to foot posture, it’s just a guideline. Foot studies use scores like the Foot Posture Index (FPI 0–+6) to define what’s considered neutral, but that doesn’t mean your feet need to match that exactly.

What matters most is how your feet feel. If you notice discomfort, pain, or something that just doesn’t feel right, get it checked. You know your feet better than anyone, and they deserve attention.

Take care of your feet, they carry you through everything! 🦶💛

Question of the week. ❓
Here is the difference between seeing a GP or going directly to a Podiatrist.
A GP provides the initial diagnosis and basic treatment plan. However, you would see a Podiatrist if:

👣 Your symptoms persist despite following the GP's advice on rest, pain relief, and stretching for several weeks.

👣 You require a detailed assessment of your foot's biomechanics, gait, and walking pattern.

👣 You need custom-made or specialised orthotics (insoles) or night splints to correct foot function and relieve stress on the fascia.

You don't need a referral from your doctor; just speak to our friendly team and get an appointment within the week!

Greek Toe 👣 Did you know that if your second toe is longer than your big toe, you have what’s known as a Greek toe, or Morton’s toe? 🦶
It’s said that famous figures like Michelangelo’s David and Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man had it too!
While the Greeks linked this foot shape to creativity and leadership, today we know it can sometimes cause extra pressure on the ball of your foot, leading to pain, calluses, or discomfort when walking.

That’s where we come in. 👣
A podiatrist can assess your foot structure, recommend the right footwear, and create custom orthotics to keep your feet healthy and pain-free.

Whether it’s a Greek toe or a simple ache that won’t go away, your feet deserve professional care and attention.

📅 Book a consultation today and take the first step towards happier, healthier feet.

✨ Six Weeks to a Huge Difference! ✨
We're thrilled to share the incredible progress of one of our patients who is managing Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT).

What is CMT?
CMT is a group of inherited disorders that affect the nerves, primarily leading to muscle weakness and sensory loss in the feet, legs, hands, and arms. A classic sign is foot drop, which causes people to lift their knees high when walking, often referred to as a "high step," to prevent their toes from dragging.

Working closely with our specialist podiatrist over the last six weeks, this patient has seen a massive difference in his gait. Through a tailored treatment plan, including custom orthotics and targeted therapy, we've been able to significantly improve his balance and walking pattern!

A massive well done to Jordan for his dedication! 👏
If you or a loved one are living with CMT, discover how personalised podiatric care can help you gain better mobility.
