The Football Association is looking for a Chief Medical Officer to deliver strategic medical leadership and clinical governance across England teams, ensuring the highest standards of medical governance and clinical practice, and provide guidance / standards to medical practitioners across our Men's, Women's and Para teams that ensure player health and welfare.

This role will set medical policy, liaise with football stakeholders to agree clinical standards and oversee cardiac screening across English football and will be the principal medical authority on ethical, regulatory and risk-related matters.

The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) has released a major new resource designed to support Sport and Exercise Scientists in understanding and applying artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly and effectively.

'The CASES Resource on Artificial Intelligence' is intended for professionals at all levels—from those new to AI to those already proficient—and provides practical insights alongside links to over 20 AI tools relevant to the sector.

Eight authors from across the CASES membership, with a wealth of knowledge and wide range of experience worked together to research and review the evolving AI landscape in Sports and Exercise Science.

We are one of the three organisations who collaborate to form the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) Exercise Professionals Group (EPG).

The BACPR EPG Study Day 2026 is taking place on Friday 24 April 2026 from 9:15 am to 3:45 pm at the Conference Aston, Aston University, Birmingham B4 7ET.

Registration is now open.

The Study Day 2026 has an exciting programme planned and is a great opportunity to network in–person with colleagues from the field of cardiovascular exercise prescription and programming from across the UK.

Authors now have until 10am on Monday 2 February 2026.

The combined student and professional conference takes place in June 2026 at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Abstract submissions are invited in the following sport and exercise science-related themes:
1. Biomechanics and Motor Behaviour
2. Pedagogy (new for 2026)
3. Physical Activity for Health
4. Physiology and Nutrition
5. Psychology
6. Sport and Performance

We welcome submissions from students and professionals currently undertaking projects who do not have results available at this time but will be in a position to present the results at the time of the conference.
