Here at ookushana, we are devoted to supporting the healing and awakening of humanity!
We have an online healing school, as well as a physical space in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We also share offerings at other venues & retreat centres in the UK & internationally. Our vision and mission as a healing school is to help people remember their innate power, and to support the awakening of the healer within.
We offer a variety of courses & trainings in ancient & modern practices to support the holistic healing of the body, mind and spirit.
ookushana Healing School was created by Felicity Weston, a Lightworker, Medicine Woman & Spiritual Teacher, devoted to service.
We have a beautiful tribe of healers & space holders sharing their gifts with our community! Our physical space, ookushana workshop, is a wellness studio in the heart of Chapel Allerton, in Leeds. Weekly offerings include Sound Baths, Women's Circles, Yoga, Breathwork, Art & Crafts, Spiritual Book Club, Reiki Shares, and Cacao Ceremonies.
We also share regular trainings & courses in Usui Reiki, Creating Ceremony & Ritual & Sound Therapy. We are a community of teachers, healers & facilitators in a large array of holistic healing modalities. Our space serves as a place where souls with a desire to heal, learn & expand their consciousness are drawn.

The wound of persecution runs deep.
It is the fear of being seen, of being powerful, and of expressing truth.
The fear can whisper:
“It isn’t safe”
“You’ll be judged”
“They won’t understand”
“They’ll reject you”
“They’ll laugh”
“You’ll be outcast”
At it’s heaviest, it whispers:
“you might die”
While we know the grip of the fear is illogical to where we are now, it can still weight heavy on out hearts, our voices, our nervous systems.
This is inheritance.
The unprocessed trauma of the medicine women who came before us and of own past lives as them.
And it is ready to be integrated.
This Sunday we gather in ceremony to honour the witches - to process what they could not,
and to reclaim the voice that was once silenced.

We held the first ceremony of The Wounded Healer yesterday and with full transparency: I have felt all kinds of awful since!
I knew this journey was going to be big, and I expected depth (those who work with me know I go deep & encourage sitting with discomfort) but 🫣
I came out the call & felt such deep grief and wanted to eat a lot of chocolate & hide under a blanket… (both of which I did)
Not because something had “gone wrong” but because when we set the intention to heal, we are inviting what lives there, deep in our subconscious & beyond - to rise.
And the unprocessed emotions attached to the wounds of the healer are heavy. Really heavy.
We barely scratched the surface yesterday, but it didn’t feel that way at all.
I’ve received multiple messages today of huge shifts taking place already. Sisters feeling lighter than they have in years, speaking up where they would usually stay quiet, recognising life-long patterns that have confined them - and already actioning changes.
I’ve also received a lot of messages from sisters who have been feeling like me.
I’m very grateful to those who said yes to this journey - I know we are meant to be doing this work together, and while I know it’s going to be far from sunshine & rainbows, I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. A new era awaits.

There is a deep and sometimes excruciating tension most healers hold: love for their medicine, and guilt around receiving for it.
At various points in history we have been taught that devotion means self-sacrifice, and that to serve is to give endessly, without asking for anything in return.
But true devotion honours the full cycle - the giving and receiving. Because medicine flows best through the nourished and overflowing, not the the depleted.
A devoted medicine woman does it for the outcome AND her income. Her work changes lives - and she deserves to be supported by it.
This is the reclaimation and where we heal the wounds of servitude and martyrdom.

Healers,
… we pour our heart into holding others, and hold space as we navigate our own tears, chaos & transformation - sometimes for so long that our own healing learns to wait.
But we were never meant to hold space for others from depletion. Devoting to our own healing is perhaps the most impactful thing we can do for others, and for ourselves.
Every healing is a further activation for our gifts and supports the clarity of our channel and field, creating positive ripples in our lives & our work.
I learned the hard way with the importance of serving the self first & not getting caught up in an upgraded rat-race (albeit heart-led).
I let old paradigm belief systems sneak into my soul-work, and ultimately cause dissonance in my life, my own health, & my service.
I’ve been back & forth, round & round - until I went IN to the truth of what is unconsciously leading.
It was not pretty but I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow my capacity by tending to the roots beneath me.
I am now ready to share a journey for my fellow healers - for us to collaborate and unify as we meet our core collective wounds: persecution, servitude, saviourhood, martyrdom & unworthiness.
It is going to be special & I know the work we will do together will ripple back & forward through time.
It is deeply important & necessary work & I’d love for you to join me.

Healer,
The world doesn’t need you running on empty.
It needs you resourced, rested and rooted in the belief that you deserve to be abundant in all ways.
It needs you to have an over-flow of energy, well-tended grounds beneath you & enough space to keep your own light alive & bright.
We’ve been taught to give until there’s nothing left.
But your depletion does not serve the world - your thriving does.
It is time we healers come together to redefine what it really means to be in service.
To dismantle old narratives connected to wounds of servitude & martyrdom that keep us sacrificing & unsustainable.
Our medicine is limited when in survival, and this era calls for soul-led and heart-expanding abundance, so we may do what we came to do, from a nourished space with space to truly live as well as serve.
The Wounded Healer is my offering for the healers - for us to come to come together, not to talk strategy but to sit with the wounds that silently lead us all, with the intention to heal and integrate them.

For generations, our ancestors were silenced, shamed and persecuted for sharing their gifts & their medicine.
They learned to hide their magic to survive.
Now those memories are rising to be healed & integrated.

This is the sacred & crucial work of The Wounded Healer - to meet inherited wounds of persecution, servitude, martyrdom, saviourhood & unworthiness with a gentle & yet fierce embrace - and finally lay them to rest. So we may rise - together, and do what we came to do. (I get full body shivers & belly fire as I write this - that’s how I know how powerful it is going to be!)

Which slide gives you full body shivers?! ^^^
For generations, visibility meant danger.
Our grandmothers, our ancestors and our past life selves knew the cost of being powerful, being seen.
But this is a different world - or ar least a different time.
You no longer have to choose between safety and truth.
You are safe to be seen.
There’s nuance here, as always. As we are still met with persecutory energy, but as it stands - medicine women are no longer being burned at the stake for trying to help people and share important wisdom.
Though truth be told, it can feel like it if/when you are on the receiving end of a modern day witch hunt.
The fear of persecution will continue to subtely or overtly claw at our power until we meet the unhealed and unintegrated wound of persecution.
This is the first wound we will sit with within my upcoming container, The Wounded Healer. It is a journey to transmute & integrate the fear of being seen and to stand fully and firmly in your power.

Which do you relate to most? 🫶
Truth be told, even if you think you have worked through these wounds… they will still be running in the background, keeping you confined, even if subtly.
Why? Because until the whole is free none of us will be.
On a personal level: I thought I had moved through these wounds years ago as a successful, abundant, free-living and confident teacher, and yet I had only scratched the surface of the journey to come…
I share this now after journeying to the underbelly of these wounds over the past 3 years, so close to the raw wound that it almost stopped me from sharing this work completely.
But of course, it was another initiation into understanding these wounds more fully and what is required to integrate them.
And what I know now in my bones is we need each other for this.
I cannot do it alone.
So while I will be holding this journey, I will be inviting the power, presence and gifts of every healer to collaborate as we embrace these collective wounds with the powerful force of sisterhood.
And of course, healing the wounds within sisterhood as we go.
A beautiful byproduct of this collaboration.

ookushana’s Founding Director Felicity Weston is a truly inspiring healer, facilitator & entrepreneur. Felicity works with multiple healing modalities including Reiki (she is a certified Master/Teacher), Breathwork, sacred sound & she holds a variety of impressive credentials in Shamanic Yoga, Ritual Facilitation, Holistic Wellness Coaching & Naturopathic Nutrition, among others.
Felicity offers 1:1 intuitive energy healing sessions tailored to her clients’ needs & highest good. She also offers training for all levels throughout the year in Usui Reiki.
The 1:1 energy healing Felicity offers is entirely intuitive and is evolving constantly, however always honours the Usui reiki lineage in which she is trained to Teacher/Master Level.
