Having the feet as a theme this week. Understanding the you have 3 arches in your foot and the term ‘flat footed’ isn’t as bad as you think.

Every foot is different so everyone’s arches are different. It’s how them joints move together and how your s**t rests on them. Some of the most athletic people have ‘flat feet’ so how can it be bad.

Is reflexology for you?

So I’m actually in 2 minds about it. Is it a mechanical problem with bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles or is it to do with the reflex in your feet?

I actually don’t care! Maybe not what you’d expect to hear but I don’t. As long as your issue feels better after the session I’ve done a good job.

Our feet are the interface with the world so they are pretty special and important and we all neglect them. Maybe it’s time for self care or maybe it’s time to think outside the box of why your body aches.

That means getting out of bed is going to get harder too. A quick breathing exercise can help energise the mind and body to be positive to get out of bed quicker and feel better!

* Stimulating Breath (Bellows Breath / Bhastrika):
* Quick, forceful inhales and exhales through the nose (about 1–2 per second).
* Do 15–30 seconds, then pause and breathe normally.

Dopamine can be as good or bad as where you aim it. It’s been called the pleasure molecule, the motivation molecule and the molecule of more.
This can be for good and bad. Dopamine is so positive in a reward cycle of completing tasks but it’s also terrible when the task is gambling, smoking, drinking, drugs or even raiding the biscuit barrel.

Everyone reacts differently and has different rewards so it’s not a one size fits all. I’m a high dopamine driven person so I’ve got myself into all sorts of trouble but also achieved a lot because of it.

Understanding yourself and creating tasks to be the person you want to be is the biggest reward you’ll receive.

Light, sound and growth in nature.

This is what it looks like. Ups and downs. I think that’s the most natural thing in life, having ups and downs yet everyone feeling the pressure of continuous growth and being better in a linear pathway.

I don’t think it’s realistic and I don’t think it’s natural. The tree doesn’t consciously grow, when it’s going through a stressful winter with little light, energy and cold temperatures, it doesn’t give in or think it’s not good enough, it just holds out for the summer to come and then grows again.

Cut yourself some slack if you don’t think you’re at the right point in life. Make a plan and do what you can do. Growth happens at different rates, different times and different ways for everyone. The path we’re on is that path we should be on learning the lessons we need to learn.

You deserve to be your best and allow other people to enjoy that person.
