As part of my ongoing training in conjunction with Marie Curie Yorkshire and D Walsh & Son Funeral Directors I have attended 2 days of workshops learning all about the role of a funeral director with a behind the scenes at the funeral directors and at Scholemoor Crematorium in Bradford. The knowledge I obtained will help me have the difficult conversations around death and planning with patients and caregivers I see at the hospice as well as in my private practice. The workshops were interesting as well as thought provoking.

Hi everyone. I thought I should give a update after receiving numerous messages about appointments. I have had to take some time off recently due to family circumstances. Many of you may have watched the recent storyline of Moira Di**le been diagnosed with a brain tumour in Emmerdale. This storyline portrays what my family has been going through with my dad being recently diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumour. I have to say the Leeds General Infirmary (Neurology and Neuro-Surgery) and St. James Oncology have both been fantastic and The Brain Tumour Charity. I also have had much support from my brother, husband, daughter and family and friends. It's when you are going through difficult times you realise who is actually there when you need them.

If you are a regular client of mine I should have already contacted you to book in on a couple of catch up days I am running in the future. My hours will be changing in the next couple of week and I will update in due course but slots will be a lot more limited.

It's been a busy week of study, practical work and seeing lovely clients.

Obtaining my aromatherpist qualification and now nearing the end of my journey to be a reflexologist. 💜

Yesterday I obtained my qualification in Aromatherapy and became a aromatherpist to add to my tool box of therapies.

This means I am now qualified to blend my own oils according to clients preference, symptoms and illness. These can be used in massage, diffusers or I can make products such as balms etc to use on clients.

At the weekend I was out collecting (along with my brother and dad) at the Pudsey Carnival Parade to raise money for new defibrillators in our local area.

A important cause which is close to my own heart having a pacemaker myself.
