📢 Important Update: Safe and Found Online Initiative 📢
We are excited to support the Safe and Found Online (SAFO) initiative, a digital version of the Herbert Protocol, designed to help protect individuals living with dementia in case they go missing.
💡 What is Safe and Found Online?
SAFO allows carers or people with dementia to create a secure online profile with vital information, including recent photos. If a person goes missing, this information can be shared instantly with the police, helping them start a search immediately.
This service is aimed at individuals with a new or existing dementia diagnosis, providing peace of mind and enabling them to live more independently.
📝 How to Register:
Visit www.safeandfoundonline.co.uk.
Create an account with an email address.
Complete the profile with important details about the person at risk.
Upload recent photos to help in identification.
Keep the profile updated as needed.
🌟 Why It’s Important:
By registering with Safe and Found Online, you can provide lifesaving information that will assist the police in locating a missing person quickly.
We encourage carers, service users, and families to take advantage of this important resource. We’ll be reaching out to families directly with more information soon.
