Not once, not twice, but THREE times in a row! Our kitchen team had a surprise inspection by Leeds City Council this week and absolutely smashed it!

Muyiwa, or Arthur as he is better known, is up this week. Arthur has been a solid member of our Care Team since 2021 and I don't think we could have wished for a better person to be with us.

Arthur's dedication to deliver the best person-centered care is second-to-none. He always has a smile on his face, and as you can see from our families; nothing is ever too much trouble!

🥳 THANK YOU THURSDAY 🥳

WOW...what a team! These 5 wonderful members of out Care Team have absolutely defined the work 'teamwork' recently. The kitchen have had some ups and downs, but these guys have 100% stepped up to the mark and gone over and above to ensure that no-one is left to struggle.

It just goes to show what a great set of individuals we have here at Gledhow and that when one department needs help we will all step in to support.

We cannot thank you guys enough for the support you have shown, it really does mean a lot! A huge thank you goes out to Sandhiya, Madhu, Favour, Chanelle & Akash!

🥳 THANK YOU THURSDAY 🥳

Our lovely Linda is up this week! Linda works as one of our Activities Co-ordinators and does a wonderful job at keeping our Residents engaged, entertained and looking their best!

Linda has been with Team Gledhow since for nearly 4 years now and has great knowledge of the Home...did you know she started here as part of our Care Team?!

Linda is so kind and caring, and really does take the time to get to know our Residents; she is happiest when she is making meaningful memories and loves to reminisce about the 'good old days'.

One thing we love about Linda is that she is at the front of the queue when it comes to our 'theme days'; just this year we have seen her as a Pink Lady, a wicked witch, a soldier to name a few and this Christmas you will see her teamed up with Mandy in something very special...so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Thank you for enriching the lives of our Resident Linda, we thank you!!

Our wonderful Zvipo has a double whammy of 'thank you' today! Zvipo has recently moved from our Night shifts back to day shifts, and as you can see she plays a major role in both sets of shifts.

Zvipo is hardworking and dedicated to delivering the best person-centered care that she can. We are thrilled that Zvipo is on the team and wherever she works she makes a huge difference to those she works with and alongside!

Apparently your 10 year anniversary is traditionally celebrated with tin. Today marks our fabulous Elaine’s 10 year Anniversary with Gledhow!

Starting as a volunteer just over 10 years ago, Elaine loved it so much, she decided to stay! We’re so grateful that she did!

We head to the Kitchen for this weeks' 'thank you'. A massive shout out to Marc, one of our 3 Cooks.

Marc has done a brilliant job managing change over the last couple of months; this is never easy and he has done us proud! This Thank You goes to show, that whatever may be happening on behind the scenes our Residents are never affected.

It’s with sadness but a HUGE amount of pride that we wave goodbye to our lovely Nandhini as she heads off to the big city of London to start her career as a physio.

Our stall is set, the cakes & sweet treats look AMAZING! Thank you to those who have donated or made their cakes, buns, cheesecakes, sweet treats.

Pop on down to sample the goodies…don’t forget some pennies (or pounds), to help raise money to support Charlene in the London Marathon next year!

You best hurry though, Rita has a sweet tooth and already snapped up a cake!
