I'm raising funds for a cause close to my heart. My Granddaughter has recently been diagnosed has being Autistic. This was a long drawn out 3 year process. Nevertheless, she will have a life long challenges of neurodiversity and I just want to help her and others within this world.

My life long fear is heights. Heights terrify me. So I have decided to do a tandem skydive. I will sit on the threshold of an open aeroplane door at 10,000 feet and do a leap of faith. Some people do this for fun but this is a massive challenge for me. If you do feel you want to support me I have included a link to my 'Just Giving' page.

I've been retired a month and all six of the QCPR Laerdal manikins are getting restless. They had a meeting this morning and put a transfer request in. They're fed up of sitting on the bench and require a good trainer to take them on. I've put a transfer fee on them of £150.00 each (less than half the price I bought them 2 seasons ago).

We're based in Leeds and would prefer a local trainer in the north of England to take them on, for either collection or meet halfway. Price of postage is ridiculous.

RETIRED.

Finally, after 50 years of work, I've retired.

1975 - 1976 - British Rail Signal & Telecommunications apprenticeship (Not for me, I had to get up far too early)

1976 - 1979 - Earnest J George Stocktaking chemist shops. (Not thieving! Valuing stock)

1979 - 2009 - West Yorkshire Fire Service (Loved the job, being a sex-symbol, but ended up with PTSD)

2009 - 2024 - Tony Clough FIRST AID TRAINING Ltd - (I became a successful businessman- loved the teaching, hated the paperwork)

Other voluntary contributions
- Community first responder - didn't do a bad job, I managed to get 2 x Royal Humane Society Certificates of Resuscitation, regional winner and national finalist at the Vodafone Life Saver Awards and commendations from West Yorkshire Ambulance.
- Gamesmaker at 2012 London Olympics (Loved it - part of medical teams at the aquatic centre)

Regrets
- Volunteering for First Aid Africa. Was going to Malawi for 6 weeks to teach first aid to jungle communities but didn't go because of anxiety of Black Mamba snake (most venomous snake), big spiders and fear of hippopotamus attacks

So, thank you employment world for having me, but I'm still a full-time Grandad dedicated to Jessica, Emily, Jacob and Isabelle

First Aid Training all cared for

First aid training to individuals and the corporate business world. That sentence describes exactly what we do but to be honest we save lives.

I have utilised my career in the West Yorkshire Fire service to teach people how to be first aiders. Every individual has it in them to save lives just by having some basic knowledge and skills in first aid but at Tony Clough FIRST AID TRAINING Ltd we give the same training delivered to fire-fighters. I was a opperational fireman for 30-years and also worked at the Fire service college teaching firefighters trauma casualty care.

You will be taught a systematical approach that builds your confidence and ability to be a good first aider. Our aim is for you not to fear first aid but have the mind to step forward and give it your best shot. We have had delegates on our courses that have done this and made the difference between life and death.

The training with us is positive, informative and fun and we deliver results. Please contact us for forthcoming courses at our venue in Garforth, Leeds (excellent transport links) or we can attend your premises to deliver ‘in-house’ training.
