In order to release pain and difficult emotions caused by any type of loss we must discover what is our emotional truth and how things have made us feel.

We can often talk about the situations that happen, but acknowledging how they made us feel can sometimes feel tricky.

As a society we are not taught how to express how we feel, most of the time people are taught to suppress emotions and carry on.

These trapped painful emotions will remain there until we release them.

Learning to share our emotional truth in a safe space is key for our ongoing emotional health. ❤️

I contacted Affordable Funerals at quite short notice and they could not have been more helpful, telling me things that I needed to know, doing things that they could and trying to help me organise the funeral I wanted and not a package they sold. As I was organising an eco-friendly, natural burial this was great.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
