GYM MEMBERSHIP VS BOOTCAMP FEE' IN RESPECT TO FAT LOSS!
So here it goes...
I often see and hear people with the attitude "why would I pay £** for boot camp when I can join the gym for the only £**."
90% of active gym members use the facilities between the hours of 6 am-8.45 am and 5 pm-7.30 pm at which times, the gyms are packed! Don't get me wrong seeing the gym packed up is a good thing because it shows people are not sitting on their sofa thinking about the gym, however, how many times have you walked into the gym, looked at your programme and BAM no machines available, you're then forced to:
A: hang around, lose motivation and get distracted from the correct mind frame in which you walked into the gym with
B: use this as an excuse to find something more comfortable to do, or in some cases
C: walk straight back out the door (yes I've seen this happen many times)
There is no waiting around at Bootcamp, everyone is always active, working and pushing themselves as hard as they should be, there is minimal space for excuses, the Bootcamp programmes are challenging every single session and are always progressing throughout the training period!
With a gym-based programme, you often don't get these most gym members to have pre-written plans written by lazy instructors that are kept in a drawer where they're ready to be given out after their induction!
Next time you are at the gym, have a look round, check how many people are sat on their phones, gawping at the television or watching 'weakest link' whilst 'power walking it's becoming embarrassing, yes gyms are a social hangout, but people forget why they joined in the first place, to get results!! (these aren't guaranteed at the gym, I'll come back to that one)
It goes back to the point I made earlier about distraction, it is very easy to become distracted at the gym where no one is coaching you and guiding you on what to do, which leads me onto my next point.
NO GUIDANCE, okay you have an induction, a pre-made programme, a new gym kit, you're then released into the unknown, not really knowing what's best for you as you made small talk at the induction so it would end as soon as possible, so fewer people saw 'the newcomer' the better. Guidance is key, at boot camp, you constantly have a personal trainer on hand in and out of the park, night and day. I know myself, I'm always in contact with my clients throughout the day, whenever they have a question about training, food, drink, clothes, pretty much everything!!
No guidance + No Goals = No motivation!
At Bootcamp, goals are set, and targets are smashed!! Within further creates even more motivation for everyone involved, which again in new inspires others around them to get active, and make positive changes in their lifestyle.
Take note guys, and this isn't me 'slagging off gyms' it's merely me expressing my views and answering the famous question at the top of this blog!
Ok so we're onto the final and most important point! RESULTS!
You are not guaranteed results if you don't know what you're doing or what's best for you, to get better at something or to learn the correct way, surely the answer is to seek expert advice right?
If you have a problem with your car engine, you take it to a garage, if you are not happy with your body the same applies, you should take it to the experts. Unless you are at a results-based gym where guidance is available your not going to get the results you desire
Good Fitness camps and Bootcamps are all about results! There is a massive structure in place to allow everyone to work at their own pace and ability yet all smash the same goals! Most good boot camps are run by results-driven personal trainers who strive on getting exceptional results and helping to change their client's lives, trainers like myself don't rest until their clients are more than happy and until they feel they have gone the extra mile to improve peoples lifestyles and help them drop that stubborn fat. This you most definitely don't get at the gym.
