❤️🖤 The Great Tommy Sleep Out 🖤❤️

This March, members of our community will be giving up their comfy beds and cosy home comforts for one night to take part in the Great Tommy Sleep Out.

This powerful event raises vital funds and awareness for veteran homelessness, supporting those who have served our country and ensuring fewer heroes are forced to call the streets their home.

Every donation, share, and message of support helps make a difference. Together, we can stand by those who once stood for us. 🇬🇧

This March, we're taking part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out. Every night, thousands of veterans right here in the UK are facing the harsh reality of sleeping rough. Together, we can change it. We'll be swapping the comfort of our beds for one night, or more, under the stars. No frills. No luxury. Eve...

Happy Valentine’s Day 💘

Whether you’re celebrating with your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband… or your side chick (hey, this is a judgment-free zone 😌) we hope your day is full of love, snacks, and plausible excuses.

And if you’re celebrating alone congrats on the peace, the remote control dominance, and the money you didn’t waste on a teddy bear holding a heart. 🖤❤️

Morley Train Station – Project Update

You may recall that some time ago we announced we’d been appointed as the Friends of Morley Train Station. Since then, things have been a little quiet.

Unfortunately, there were a few delays beyond our control in receiving the funding for the project. The good news is that this week we’ve finally received the funding from Northern rail.

Over the coming months, we’re hoping to brighten up the station and raise awareness of veteran mental health at the same time.

We can’t promise on-time trains or that much dreamed of coffee stall, but we can promise spring flowers and a slightly nicer environment to help cheer up your daily commute

❤️🖤Yesterday we took our final walk around our new venue, and we honestly can’t wait to share the news with you all hopefully by the end of next week.

We’re so excited to be able to offer our support and sense of community to even more veterans, and to continue our mission of improving mental health across our veteran community.

❤️🖤 Tomorrow night we’ve both groups running from 7–10pm.

The kettle will be on and we’ll be there to offer a safe, warm and confidential space to offload, chat, or just sit quietly if that’s what you need.

📍 Morley Fire Station
Please park in Morrisons and use the gate next to our banner.
It’ll be locked, but just drop us a message and we’ll come let you in.

📍 Stanningley Fire Station
Parking available on site.
There’ll be a phone number on the gate — give us a ring and we’ll come and let you in.

On Saturday morning we’re also running our Breakfast Club at Morley Market Café ☕️🥓
A brew, some food and a chat, a pretty decent way to start the weekend if you ask us.

No pressure, no judgement, just come as you are

Longer days are coming ❤️☀️

As winter slowly loosens its grip, the days are beginning to stretch again. More light in the mornings, a little extra daylight in the evenings, small changes, but meaningful ones.

For many veterans, darker months can feel heavier. Motivation dips, sleep can be disrupted, and old memories can feel closer to the surface. If that’s been your experience, know this: nothing is “wrong” with you. Seasons affect us all, and they can hit harder when you’re already carrying a lot.

Spring doesn’t mean everything suddenly feels better and that’s okay. What it does offer is opportunity. A bit more light for a walk. A chance to sit outside with a brew. A reminder that change happens gradually, even when it’s hard to notice day to day.

If you’re struggling, take things one step at a time. Reach out to someone you trust. And if today feels tough, remember, this moment won’t last forever.

You’re not alone. Brighter days literally and emotionally are on their way.
