We are based in 5 locations:
David Lloyd Leisure Club Leeds
Chapel Allerton Tennis Club Leeds
The Wharfedale Clinic Guiseley
Harrogate Sports and Fitness Centre Harrogate (HSFC)
Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, Ilkley. Chartered Physiotherapists Gill Cannon & Rachel Galley run the Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinics along with their team of highly qualified associates who provide a wide variety of expertise in the areas of musculo-skeletal conditions including:

-Back and neck pain
-Muscle imbalances
-Exercise related injuries
-All sprains and strains
-Pre and post-operative rehabilitation
-Occupational injuries and biomechanical assessments. Physio Action has close links with Orthopaedic Consultants, Sports Physicians and Podiatrists. We can arrange private MRI, Ultra-sound and x-ray imaging to facilitate diagnosis and help formulate rehabilitation programmes. Matt Hancocks , our sports massage therapist works at both Leeds Clinics and at HSFC

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the Physio Action team…meet Sophie! 👋

Sophie is an MSK Physiotherapist with a real passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love 💪

With a strong foundation built through NHS clinical placements and experience in private sports rehab, she supports patients with everything from sports injuries and persistent pain to post-surgical recovery.

Fun fact – Sophie is a former Team GB Display gymnast 🤸‍♀️ bringing a deep understanding of movement, strength, and injury prevention into every session. She’s also qualified in Level 3 & 4 Sports Massage Therapy, combining hands-on treatment with tailored rehab plans.

Our team recently attended a fantastic CPD day at The Spire in Harrogate, focusing on how to effectively refer for MRI scans.

It was a really valuable session, helping us strengthen our clinical reasoning, improve referral accuracy, and ensure our patients continue to receive the highest standard of care possible.

We’re big believers that great physiotherapy never stands still - ongoing professional development is key to delivering the best outcomes for our patients.
