We're pleased to announce that Steeper has been commissioned by NHS England to provide prosthetic services in the Kent and Medway region 🦾

As of Monday 1st December 2025, we have integrated services at the Kent and Medway Disablement Service Centre into the Steeper network, marking an important milestone in our long-standing partnership with the NHS 🤝💙🤍

We look forward to working with patients, clinicians and partners to build this new pathway over the next nine years and possibly beyond.

Last week, a team from Steeper travelled to the -center in Lviv to provide specialist prosthetic support to Ukrainian veterans.🇺🇦 🦾

Our Technicians Dan Dyson and Dan Davis, Prosthetists Nicky Gorton and Lucy Riddle, Prosthetic Product Manager Lorna Aitken, and Products Director Ian Rodger worked closely with Superhumans Prosthetist Denys Nahornyi to assess, cast, manufacture, and fit advanced upper-limb prostheses.

Over the four days, the team supported fittings of devices including the Steeper Espire Hybrid elbows, advanced prosthetic solutions offering reliable performance and broad compatibility with a wide range of myoelectric and mechanical hands, including the Esper Hand. These devices will play a vital role in the veterans’ ongoing rehabilitation journey.

We’re proud to support Superhumans in providing high-quality prosthetic solutions for Ukrainian veterans, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in 2026.

🦴It's Bone Cancer Awareness Week🦴

As part of our Charity Partnership, we’re supporting the incredible work of the Bone Cancer Research Trust, which funds life-saving research and provides vital support to patients and families, including many of our own patients on their journey through amputation and rehabilitation🎗️

We're encouraging our colleagues to take part in a variety of fundraising challenges and volunteering opportunities, as well as raising awareness of the symptoms of bone cancer for early diagnoses🧡

Last week, we welcomed 11 P&O Steeper and NHS graduates to our HQ for a 2 day introduction to Orthotics, led by our experts.

During the workshop, graduates learnt best practices on topics such as casting, alignment, clinical pathways and protocols, as well as familiarisation with Steeper specification sheets for Footwear, Insoles, Plastics and KAFO's 👞

Last week, colleagues from the UK Steeper Marketing Team, Frances and Tom, teamed up with SteeperUSA Sales Manager, Jess, and Clinical Education Specialist, Arthur, for a visit to Prosthetic Innovations Clinic in Philadelphia. 🇺🇸

Spending time with the clinic team and meeting Maggie and Scott, two prosthetic users of the Espire Elbow with the TASKA Hand, was truly inspiring, as we heard their stories and saw how their prostheses support them in continuing activities they love. 🦾

We also met with Prosthetists Mike and Jon, who recommended this configuration for both patients and strongly support the Espire mission to enable independence and restore control in people’s lives.

A big thank you to everyone at Prosthetic Innovations, we look forward to sharing more from this visit in the near future.
