When someone close to you dies, it can feel overwhelming, and you may not know what to do. The first step is to have the death confirmed by a medical professional, whether that’s a GP, nurse, hospital staff or, in an emergency, by calling 999.
Once this has been done, you can contact us. We will bring your loved one into our care and guide you gently through the next steps. We’ll explain how to register the death and help you make the funeral arrangements at a pace that feels right for you.
Most importantly, remember to take things slowly and look after yourself. You don’t have to do everything at once, and you don’t have to do it alone — we’re here to support you throughout.

International Men’s Day💙

Today, on International Men’s Day, we celebrate the special men in our lives but we also pause to remember and honour the men who are no longer with us — the fathers, sons, brothers, grandfathers, partners and friends — whose presence shaped our lives and whose memory lives on in our hearts.

This day is not only about recognising the contributions of men in society, but also about acknowledging the silent struggles many faced. Too often, men carry burdens quietly. Today, we reflect with love, gratitude, and understanding.

Here at J. A. Kelly’s Independent Funeral Directors, we are dedicating this day to Jack and Martin — two outstanding individuals whose bond as father-in-law and son-in-law is built on mutual respect, trust, and shared purpose.
