Have you ever felt like something is stuck in your throat but no matter how much you try and cough and bring it up you never ever shift, no matter how much water do you drink you cant seem to clear it.
In Chinese medicine this is called a plumstone throat.
yes as if the stone from a plum is stuck in your throat.

Most often than not it doesn't have a physical cause but is due to emotions.

Words you haven't spoken, feelings you haven't shared, things left unsaid...

Recently I saw someone who has seen various Specialists and no one was able to figure out what was wrong and relieve it.

First acupuncture treatment resulted in 3 days of relief, with a throat feeling clear and unobstructed for years, and even after the 3 days relief was there but at a lesser degree.

Amazing isn't it?

this was someone who doctors couldn't help anymore as they had no idea what is going on and she wanted to try acupuncture pretty much as a last resort and is now convinced 100% of the benefits of acupuncture 😊

What an incredible week it has been 😍

No acupuncture home visits this week, instead I spent a week learning something new, something incredibly special 🌿🔥✨️

A week of being mostly outside we experienced all seasons, from wind, to hail, snow, rain and sunshine, we got our shelter sorted and our fire on...⛈️🌨🌬🌩🌧🥶🧊

Meeting strangers on monday who now feel like family, a close knit tribe full of the most amazing people!

Tribe21 is one special bunch of humans!💕

I love our Tribe21, and especially my South Tribe sisters and sharing this whole journey with the wonderful Fiona Green for roadtrips and evening debriefs in our cosy cottage accommodation 🌿🔥✨️

I love sticking pins and holding space but the outdoors calls to me too.

Taking this first step into Wilderness Therapeutic Interventions is one where I will be uniquely able to blend all my healing wisdom, knowledge in something very very special.

More to come about what i have been up to this week once I have let everything settle in my mind, it has been one heck of a week😳

Time now to look at building my portfolio of competencies, in preparation for another week in September ❤️💕

What an adventure ✨️

Stop the "Whisper" Before it Becomes a Shout

Your body rarely starts with a scream. It starts with a whisper: a slightly stiff neck, a bit of digestive sluggishness, or that "tired but wired" feeling at 10:00 PM.

Acupuncture is most powerful as preventative care. By balancing your nervous system now, you prevent those minor irritations from blooming into full-blown burnout or chronic pain.

Breathing in the Sweetness of Spring🥀🌻🌸🌺
When the world begins to bloom, it should be a time of wonder—not a season of itchy eyes and hidden tissues.🤧

If your body views the dancing pollen as a foe, acupuncture can be the gentle peace treaty you’ve been searching for.

Instead of just masking the symptoms, this time-honoured practice works with your body’s own wisdom to find balance again. 🥰

Here is how it nurtures you through the sneezing season:

🌿Calming the Over-Reactive Spirit: Acupuncture helps soothe an overactive immune response, gently reminding your system that the blossoms are friends, not threats.

🌿Clearing the Path: By focusing on specific points around the nose and face, it helps to naturally open the airways and reduce the "heaviness" in your sinuses, letting you breathe deeply again.

🔥🧊Cooling the Fire: If you struggle with red, itchy eyes or a scratchy throat, acupuncture helps "clear the heat," bringing a cooling wave of relief to those inflamed areas.

💪Building Your Inner Shield: Regular sessions can strengthen your underlying vitality, helping you move through the outdoors with a sense of ease and protection.

🌞You deserve to walk through the garden and feel the sun on your face without a worry.

Let your breath be as clear and bright as a spring morning.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month

1 in 10 women in the UK, roughly 2 billion women suffer with Endo.
The average is 8 years from onset of diagnosis and it is the 2nd most common gynaecological condition.

So we have seen the stats but what is Endometriosis.

Endometriosis is Where tissue similar to womb lining grows elsewhere in the body – often around the reproductive organs, bowel and bladder.

Like the womb lining, the tissue builds up and bleeds every month, but with no way to escape the body, the blood is trapped, leading to inflammation, pain and formation of scar tissue.
Symptoms ranging from
Painful periods
Menstrual cramping
Painful ovulation
Pain during s*x
Fatigue
Low back pain
Frequent urination
Pain during bowel movement
Fertility issues

Having any of these symptoms doesn't necessarily mean you have Endometriosis but it could be an indication that more is going on inside your body so pay close attention to what your body is telling you and make notes that you can bring to your doctor if you need their help.

So imagine going through all this month after month and it literally taking years to get a diagnosis so even longer to battle to try get it under control as best possible as there isn't really a cure as they are still unsure about why it happens.

As an acupuncturist I treat many women with a huge range of gynae issues including Endometriosis.

A recent Endometriosis study showed that 62% of women found a reduction in their pain after 4 weeks of acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture can:
Bring a relief of pain and help manage it.
Reduce your stress and anxiety
Regulate hormone production

This could be just the thing your body is looking for!

When we feel hurt we tend to not breathe fully. Our body energetically caves inward in a manner of self protection. But what this does is close of the lungs, solar plexus and the heart.

The lungs is where grief resides.
Every now and then consciously stand up, stand tall.

Raise you head up, expand your chest with your breath, pull your shoulders back. Breath, fully and deeply into your lungs, your heart and your belly.

Observe your hurt from that perspective.
Its a better stance to gain insight and release density within.

I love offering Acupuncture home visits, it's such a beautiful way of enjoying the Acupuncture experience

Many celebs share their at home acupuncture experiences but it's not just celebs that enjoy acupuncture at home. You can too!!!

Who has acupuncture at home?

People who are unable to leave their home, whether its lack of mobility, crippling anxiety, or because they are just not well enough to get out and about ..

Maybe they rely on others to take them places, it can be hard enough to get to an appointment without having to get someone to make sure they have time to take you.

They might not have child care for their children. Kids are so inquisitive and they love seeing their loved ones having acupuncture and its always an opportunity for them to learn by asking any questions they may have.

People who work from home, shhh 🤫 they often have acupuncture during their lunch time or when they are in a 'personal meeting'

Let me save you valuable time by coming to you with my pins, let's get you booked in✨️

How brave you are for slowing down. For not finishing that to-do list. How courageous you are for not crossing that finish line, because your body said “enough.”

How fearless you are for choosing the quiet of your soul over those voices driving you always towards more.
How bold, how rebellious -
you, out there,
honoring your own natural rhythm,
going against the culture’s breakneck speed.

I want to make heroes of those who slow down.
I want to make heroes of those who listen to their bodies, and do not strive for more than what the soul truly needs.
I want to make heroes of those who do not force or push, but surrender to each moment as it opens.
I want to applaud those who may not be driven towards success as we know it, but instead are nurturing something deep and subtle and needed.
I want to celebrate those brave enough to cease all doing, even for a second, and sit with the ache in their hearts. A task many find harder than summiting the highest peak.
I want to make heroes of those who honor their limitations. Who are unable to keep up with the busy-ness of our times, yet show up to each profound, necessary moment.

Truly, it is an act of courage and rebellion to do any such thing,
in a world demanding you resist your own self, your own rhythm, your own soul.

The paradox is that often when we cease our incessant doing, even for a minute, and listen to that quiet voice within, we discover what it is we absolutely must do, and what instead can fall away.

We finally hear the call towards what serves our soul,
and what then will serve the world.
Nothing more, nothing less.

A hero is simply someone brave.
So come, be softly brave.

Be a new, quieter kind of hero.
Few may applaud, it’s true, but your soul certainly will.
