Have you heard of postnatal depletion. If you're a mom with children under 10, please read this!

It takes 9 months to grow a beautiful human but somehow we expect to bounce straight back after your baby is born.

Not giving our body the opportunity to recover from a massive change that happened to our body over 9 months and the whole huge thing of giving birth.

Our bodies need to take the time to rest and recover afterwards or often we feel the impact later on.

We need a cultural shift to happen so that we as mothers are taken care of just as much as our babies. In certain cultures they honour the Golden Month where mothers stay in bed and get looked after by their families so they can rest and recover, this can be for 40 days .

Such a beautiful way of honoring and celebrating new mamas 💗

I know that especially my third pregnancy took a huge toll on my body and it took me a very long time to recover from it.

My immunity was poor for at least 12 months after, and health issues i suffered with 16 months postbirth were put down as a result of my pregnancy.

For the ones who aren't aware of my family life, my third pregnancy was a double one as i was pregnant with twins and i was in my final year of my acupuncture degree.

If only i knew then what i know now.

If only i knew a practitioner like me who is passionate about supporting new mums with amazing nurturing postnatal treatments, accommodating mum and baby/babies during treatment sessions.

But now it is my chance to offer the support to new families that i deeply needed myself. If you know a family who need these nurturing supporting treatments do pass on this article, or pass on my details.
