This is one of my First Ladies…. 7 years on now ❤️
I've seen a lot of posts recently about maintaining, so wanted to tell my story.
This diet changed my life.
I lost six stone about seven years ago. I went from a size 18-20 to a comfortable size 8. I was addicted to food and saw food as comfort.
I started on the diet and stuck to plan religiously for six solid months, through birthdays, holidays parties etc, because I knew that the moment I came off I would loose my momentum. I moved up the steps properly. The diet taught me about the right foods, portion sizes, even the calories in drinks etc.
It's not that I have any more willpower than you, by any means, it was just the right time for me.
I maintained up until the third lock down, when for various reasons, my emotional eating kicked back in and I gained 10lbs. I haven't resorted back to the diet, I just was very strict for a few months to get it back off and now I'm back to my healthy, happy weight.
In the past seven years, yes I eat takeaways, I eat chocolate in bed with a film, I go out for three course meals, I go out and get hammered and have a hangover brekky but it's everything in moderation.
If I was to go back to eating how I ate when I was the first picture then absolutley yes, I would pile the weight back on, but please trust in the diet and follow the steps properly. It's absolutley more than worth it!!! Stick with it, it is hard, but it is life changing ❤️
