Welcome to the A - Z of our practice

A – APPOINTMENTS
Ring us on 0113 266 7998 to book your appointment or with any queries you might have

B – BROKEN GLASSES!!! -
Dropped them? Sat on them? Dog eaten them? Nothing will surprise us. We can, 9 times out of 10, repair or replace parts of your glasses. Sometimes it’s just not possible, but we will always do our best to help

C - CONTACT LENSES
Have you ever fancied trying contact lenses? There is a vast range to suit most people, single vision, multifocal, lenses for astigmatism – daily or monthly. We can organise a trial for you & teach you how to insert and remove them.

D – DRIVING LENSES
these lenses are especially good for night driving with a reduction of the glare from street lights, oncoming traffic and the ‘cockpit’ of digital lights inside your car!!

E- ESSILOR
the largest spectacle lens manufacturer and one of our main suppliers of lenses to cater for a wide range of vision needs. Currently with a special offer of second pair of lenses ABSOLUTELY FREE*
(*subject to type of lens)

F – FRAMES
we have an extensive range of frames to suit everyone’s budget, all in a variety of sizes, shapes, colours and materials

G – GOGGLES
workwear, swimming, cycling, sports – we can provide these with an
up-to-date prescription

H – HAPPY CUSTOMERS
We pride ourselves at Naru Opticians with the service we offer to all our patients. If you are happy with the service, please tell all your friends but if there’s something you’re not happy about, please do tell us and we will do our utmost to rectify it.

I - IDEAS
You may have an idea of the type of frame that suits you but we are here to help & will take our time to make sure you have chosen ‘the one’

J – JUGESH NARU
Jugesh is the Owner and Optometrist and he will conduct your eye examination, contact lens checks, spectacle dispensing and anything else to do with your eyes. He will put you at ease & explain everything - feel free to ask any questions you may have.

K – KIDS
Children’s eye tests are paid for by the NHS until they are 16 (or 19 in full time education) We make their visit a pleasurable one and we have a wide range of frames from the tiniest to the biggest child in all shapes, sizes and colours.

L – LENSES
We glaze the majority of frames in our own in-house glazing studio, which enables a quick turnaround from order to collection of your glasses.

M
MIYOSMART LENSES – New ‘cutting edge’ lenses designed for children to slow down the progression of myopia (short-sightedness)

N – NOSEPADS
We can replace nosepads & screws on most frames (as well as make adjustments and tighten them up to stop them slipping)

O – OPTIFOG
In these days of masks and glasses, it’s all a bit of a foggy nightmare. We can provide lenses with an Optifog ™ coating which stops your lenses misting up.

P – PLANO LENSES
this means lenses with no prescription – we have a lovely range of sunglasses with plano lenses that you can buy off the peg (or if you do have a prescription, we can put them in too)

R – RANGES
the range of frames we supply are from the smallest for babies through children, teenage, petite and largest frames, to cover wide range of colours to suit every budget

S – SUNGLASSES
Calvin Klein, DKNY, Versace, Rayban for the Designers and more stylish frames at an affordable price.

T – TESTING TIMES
We’ve all been through testing times recently but we’re talking about eye tests here. An eye examination takes approximately 30-40 minutes but we allow an hour for your to be able to choose your new frames and lenses afterwards.

U – UV PROTECTION
All our sunglasses offer full UV protection from the sun (and we can also supply polarised lenses which reduce the glare further)

V – VOUCHERS
The NHS provides vouchers to cover the cost for glasses
* for children under 16
* children under 19 (in full time
education)
* Adults receiving benefits

W WORD OF MOUTH
The best form of advertisement is word of mouth, for which most of our patients have come from. Please tell your friends about us.

Wimbledon fortnight is nearly upon us and we have our tennis window.

We’ve had a delivery of a wide range of superb sunglasses to suit everyone - prescription or non-prescription.

An eye examination is isn’t just about your vision - it can identify other potential health issues.

We would like to thank all our patients and local community whom have supported us and trusted us with their eyecare over these last 5yrs.
We very much appreciate you all and it’s been great getting to know you all.
As my team keep saying all our patients are lovely and we enjoy meeting each and every one of you.
