The family of the late Peter Taylor wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind messages of sympathy, cards of condolence and generous donations to Yorkshire Cancer Research, during their recent sad bereavement. Special thanks to Mr David Hoskins for officiating at the service and to Morgan from Kettley’s Funeral Service for her kind care and attention.

We are hiring ! Would suit a semiretired person still able to carry out heavy duties.
If you want to join our team we have a part time position 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am - 1pm or 5 hours a day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays at our Otley branch
Must have clean driving licence , successful applicant will need to be DBS checked and willing to be on call at least 3 nights a week
Must be able to lift as the job can be physical and challenging at times, general
chapel duties including keeping the chapel clean and tidy, collections from hospitals and bearing on funerals
More hours available during busy periods

This week is dedicated to helping families understand the importance of planning ahead, so they can focus on what truly matters during difficult times. Whether it’s pre-planning your funeral or discussing options with loved ones, it’s about creating peace of mind for the future.

Together, we can make funeral planning easier for you and your family.

With funeral standards in the news this week, we wanted to provide reassurance about our services.

Our staff and premises adhere to national trade association SAIF's code of practice on standards. This means we will always care for families and their loved ones with the utmost respect and professionalism. Processes within our mortuary and ashes storage are all fully documented to provide a robust audit trail.

Additionally, we are assessed and approved by SAIF inspectors, and hold regular open days to show the public how our premises operate. These events include sensitive tours of our storage areas to show how we meet our code of practice requirements.

Leeds city council are wanting to ban flowers from entering their chapels , they will allow flowers that are on the coffin only , would love to hear your opinions on this so I can address this at the next meeting
