Southern Cross Dental (SCD) is a full-service dental laboratory and has been working with the dental profession for over fifteen years. We have rapidly grown to become one of the largest dental laboratories in the UK and Ireland. All our products are manufactured under ISO accredited quality management systems (ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003) and we provide quality guarantees for all materials and finished products. Our materials have IdentAlloy® and IdentCeram® certificates, are sourced only from recognised global dental suppliers and our crown and bridge cases are guaranteed for 5-10 years (product dependent).
Every case is fully verifiable, and the manufacturing history is traceable through extensive cataloguing and batch numbering.
Digital workflow
We are digital experts – always looking ahead, and ready to take the next step into the digital era. We continuously increase our manufacturing capabilities and invest in new equipment to allow us to expand our digital workflow competencies.
Our laboratory is set up to receive and process scans seamlessly from all major intraoral scanners including 3Shape TRIOS®, Sirona CEREC®, Carestream, Planmeca Planscan™, 3M True Definition and Cadent iTero™ as well as any systems producing digital impressions in STL open format.
Our superior digital workflow solutions lead to improved predictability of outcomes and faster turnaround times.
Customer service
Our full-service dental laboratory is always on-hand for technical advice because we believe that outstanding, one-on-one support should be provided to all of our customers – no matter how small or large their practice. We have the resources and experienced in-house clinical advisors and technicians to manage any case, quickly and regardless of its complexity. We actively communicate and collaborate with our customers to meet their patients’ needs. To enhance the customer experience, we also provide customers access to our secure online portal MySCD. It allows customers to manage their account easily and conveniently. Customers can order online, print lab sheets, track cases, send digital files, pay online and view and print statements and invoices.
Education
We are passionate about supporting dentists through education, either online or face-to-face. Our website functions as an excellent tool for providing information on various topics from impression taking to tooth preparation. In addition, we offer both hands-on and lecture courses to share our dental experience and knowledge. All of our events are associated with verifiable CPD points and certificates are provided.
