Netherhall Mead Academy would like to say an enormous thank you to Severn Trent, Community Fund for their generous grant. Our new Outdoor Learning Classroom is now open, fully furnished with two huge water storage tanks which will enable us to collect rain and water our trees in summer.

A member of staff said “It’s provided a calmer environment for some of our students, which has supported their focus, regulation, and overall wellbeing. We’ve been able to use the space for small-group learning, creative activities, and quiet reflection, and it has definitely enhanced our ability to take learning outdoors in a meaningful way”.

Thank you to the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Cllr Teresa Aldred for opening the classroom in the summer and to Darren Mabbett Joinery Solutions for making the dream a reality.
