We are running a walk-in flu clinic this afternoon for eligible patients only.
No appointment necessary!

We are currently seeing an increase in flu cases in the community. Getting your flu vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and others from becoming seriously unwell.

🎄 Patient Participation Group Christmas Party Highlights! 🎅

We were delighted to welcome 21 local elderly patients to our Christmas Party this year. The room looked wonderfully festive, with music, crackers, plenty of food, and a visit from SANTA! 🎁

A huge thank-you to local businesses for their amazing raffle donations Michaelmas House Liberteas Coffee Shop Dawn's Delights Rose & Radish Bosworth Newsagents and to the Heart of England Co-op Food in Market Bosworth for their incredibly generous £300 voucher.

Guests enjoyed a Christmas quiz, bingo, delicious treats, and each received a homemade Christmas cake. The smiles made the whole afternoon truly special.

Thank you to all staff, PPG members, and everyone who helped make the event such a success! ✨Thanks to everyone’s support, our raffle raised £70 for LOROS.

🚗 Bosworth Parking Update – Starting 1st December

🕒 Patients: A 10-minute grace period applies for short visits such as collecting prescriptions or booking appointments. Any visits longer than 10 minutes will require you to enter your vehicle registration.

⚠️ Parking fines: If a fine is issued, the surgery can provide proof of your attendance. However, it remains the patient’s responsibility to ensure their registration is entered, and any disputes must be resolved directly with the parking company.

Newbold Verdon Medical Practice & Market Bosworth Surgery are filling some of the volunteer roles this week as they are our local parkrun practice. In an exciting, innovative, award-winning initiative, the RCGP is collaborating with parkrun UK to promote the health and wellbeing of staff and patients. This social prescribing project encourages GP practices of all sizes to link with their local parkrun events to become parkrun practices. As a parkrun practice, the surgery encourages staff and patients to take part in parkrun to improve the health and wellbeing of staff and patients through increased physical activity, skill development, friendships and socialising, mutual support and personal empowerment. Over 1,800 GP surgeries are now parkrun practices.

We do still need a couple more volunteers - at least 1 more marshal and a number checker (can be a fast finisher) - for our roster. Please let us know if you can help. Many thanks.
