Thinking of a Holiday? Here's a Glimpse into My Recent Trip to Mauritius
If you're considering taking a break from your routine work, let me share a little inspiration. I’ve just returned from a trip to Mauritius—a mix of holiday relaxation and a family visit. It was my first time visiting this beautiful island nation, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Meeting new people, enjoying the vibrant culture, and exploring the local environment was refreshing in every sense.
Mauritius is a small island in the Indian Ocean, both modest in size and population, but rich in beauty and hospitality. The people are incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m already looking forward to returning for another visit in the future!
The beaches are as stunning as the people are kind. My son even had the chance to try some exotic meats that aren’t typically available in the UK—including crocodile meat! As a vegetarian, I can’t comment on the taste, but it certainly made for an adventurous meal.
While there, I had the opportunity to speak with locals about their health goals and how they plan to achieve them. What struck me most was how universal the issue is: people plan for everything—careers, finances, travel—but rarely for their health. This isn’t just in Mauritius; the same holds true here in the UK.
Everyone wants to stay disease-free, but few take the necessary steps to actively manage their health. That’s where our mission at Patient on the Go comes in—encouraging people to monitor their health and stay involved in their own wellbeing. Prevention and awareness are the true paths to long-term health.
Finally, I’m excited to share a photo from the trip—a famous "underwater waterfall" illusion off the coast of Mauritius. It's a stunning optical illusion, and the locals are rightly proud of it.
If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend visiting Mauritius. Take a break, rejuvenate your mind, and reconnect with your health.
