🧠World Stroke Day – October 29 đź§
Every 2 seconds, someone in the world experiences a stroke. It’s one of the leading causes of disability—and sadly, it can also be life-threatening.
But there is hope. Up to 90% of strokes are linked to preventable risk factors. With greater awareness, faster treatment, and improved support, many strokes can be avoided—and many lives can be saved.
World Stroke Day is a global call to action. It reminds us of the importance of:
✔️ Recognizing the warning signs (think FAST: Face, Arms, Speech, Time)
✔️ Taking steps to reduce our risk through healthy choices
✔️ Supporting stroke survivors and caregivers
✔️ Advocating for access to quality care and rehabilitation for everyone, everywhere
This year’s theme focuses on the power of knowledge—because knowing the signs and risks can truly make the difference between life, disability, and recovery.
💬 On this important day, let’s share what we know, learn what we don’t, and work together to build a healthier, more stroke-aware world.
