In June I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, so naturally I’ve been researching ways to feel more in tune with my body. An underactive thyroid affects way more than just metabolism; impacting sleep, energy, training, diet, AND even your cycle.
For me, it’s meant:
🧘♀️ Moving from heavy lifting → yoga, Pilates, walking, martial arts
💤 Struggling with sleep + recovery
🍽 Eating for energy + blood sugar balance instead of just calories
🔄 Syncing my workouts with my cycle
After some research on what other people experience whilst taking Levothyroxine and suffering with thyroid issues, I’ve had to figure out what works for me through trial and error and there’s still a lot to learn! I know so many of my clients also experiencing similar symptoms and the daily impact it has is not spoken about enough 📢
