Medical cannabis has been legal in the UK since 2018, but can you get it on the NHS? 🍃

The short answer: yes—but only in very limited circumstances, like certain severe epilepsy cases, chemotherapy-induced nausea, or MS-related spasticity. Even then, NHS prescriptions aren’t guaranteed.

We’d like to update you on the recent technical issues that affected our clinical systems. These problems were caused by a new platform upgrade rolled out by our clinical IT provider, Script Assist — an issue that also impacted other clinics using their system.

Following urgent discussions with Script Assist, we have rolled back the upgrade for now. This ensures your care is not disrupted while their team works on further improvements and robust testing.

We’re pleased to confirm that all systems are now fully operational. You can once again order your prescriptions, and we are accepting and processing requests as normal.

If you are still unable to access the CB1 app, you may need to uninstall and reinstall it. Your username and password will remain the same, so you won’t need to reset your login details.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked with Script Assist to resolve these issues. 💚

We’re pleased to inform you that, following discussions with our clinical platform provider, Script Assist, we have decided to revert from their recent system upgrade.

This decision was made in light of significant issues experienced with the new platform, which also impacted other clinics.

This step will allow Script Assist additional time to address these issues and conduct more robust testing before reintroducing the upgrade.

CB1 Medical is now closed for the bank holiday weekend and scheduled system maintenance.

All systems – including the CB1 app, prescriptions, consultations, and communications – are currently offline.

⏰ Normal service will resume at 9:00am on Tuesday, 26th August.
