Joy in Health Joy in Health (JiH) is a Community interest Company based in Leicester, United Kingdom. Our health is one of the most important aspects of our lives.

We are committed to creating awareness about better health and health care for all, mostly Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Communities in the UK. Yet it is also one of the most neglected. Nowadays, people are more concerned about their jobs and their commitments that they end up pushing their health aside. How we treat our environment, that can also contribute to the state of our health and well being. As a result, JOY in HEALTH embarked in a mission of sensitising the public through workshops, sports activities, teachings about our well being. Hence prioritizing your health is important because healthy people tend to be happier and tend to achieve more things every day.

We now head into our seasonal break. It is a time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the festivities with our families and communities.

We look forward to returning in January, refreshed and motivated, to continue celebrating health and wellbeing together through exercise and football, our shared passion.

While this is a time to relax and enjoy the festivities, Sport England and Joy in Health are not stepping away from the importance of maintaining a healthy exercise routine. Rather, we are allowing a brief period to rest, recharge, and reflect. Enjoy yourself and make the most of the season.

The veterans clearly demonstrate that age is no barrier when it comes to staying active. Their commitment shows that exercise can be enjoyed at any stage of life. Joy in Health, in collaboration with Sport England, has created inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the sports they are passionate about.

With a wide range of engaging activities available, there is never a dull moment. The old saying “all work and no play” holds true—without balance, both the mind and body suffer. Regular physical activity not only strengthens the body but also uplifts the spirit and improves overall well-being.
